That was a forgettable game - so I will forget it. Too bad to lose out on a Giolito pitching performance - though he didn't have his best stuff.

Some thoughts:

Madrigal - showed his power limitations with a ball pulled to the warning track in LF for an out (punch and Judy singles are fine Nicky).

Louis Robert - needs to take a page from Eloy's book and just punch balls into RF for a while until the confidence returns at the plate.

Abreu - continues to show himself as the Most Valuable Contract in the major leagues. His production compared to his pay is a steep value this season.

On a positive note, our magic number is now 2 despite us losing last night.

Can't win em all boys. Unrealistic to think we actually could have swept the Twins. And the task doesn't get any easier today facing their top pitcher, while the Sox are now sending Lopez to the mound instead of Keuchel.
