The bulk of our top 10 are on D, Merrill, Alexander Urbom, Damon Severson, Eric Gelinas and a guy we drafted this year Steven Santini are all projected to be legitimate NHLers.

In terms of forwards it's basically Boucher and a guy we drafted this year, Ryan Kujawinski, who when he is on is lights out but has a tendency to mail it in which is why he was taken in the 3rd instead of late first/second. I fully expect Stefan Matteau to be on the roster this year as he played enough games last year to burn a year of his ELC.

I didn't really take notice of the Devils' prospects until now, but they seem to have pretty good depth. More depth than I realized. No matter what, Devils should always be able to roll 4 solid lines this season.

Depth on D for sure, forwards not so much. Combine that with their depth on D at the NHL level and I see people getting moved this year either for picks or some help up front at the NHL level.

Yeah, Kreider & Miller should benefit greatly from the coaching change. McIlrath should get an opportunity this year. With the departure of Ryane Clowe, Rangers need someone to bring the toughness. They got Callahan, Boyle, & Powe but they need someone to make up for the void left by Clowe.

Only problem Clowe was a winger Mcllrath is a defensemen. Though I do think we are a little left handed heavy and Mcllrath would a needed right handed shot on the back end.

Sorry, I should've been more clear. I didn't mean McIlrath should replace him as a winger, I meant he should replace him as the team's tough guy.

True that about the Rangers having too many lefties and not enough righties,

Ryan McDonagh - left
Michael Del Zotto - left
Dan Girardi - right
John Moore - left
Marc Staal - left
Anton Stralman - right
Aaron Johnson - left
Justin Faulk - left

As of now, Girardi & Stralman appear appears to be the only righties on the blue line.

JT Miller and Kreider I would like to see them get regular playing time during the regular season. Torts had a way of not playing the young guys. Also after being taken 10th overall in 2010 Mcllrath needs to play its been 3 years he should have shown enough in the minors by now.

Johnny Moore should have a breakout year. Unfortunately, his ticket out of town was punched when the Jackets picked Murray. No animosity, he's just a smidge less good than Murray.

Well, we hope.

Strome, Nelson & Reinhart. I have high hopes for all three. Strome & Nelson are likely to make the team. As of right now Reinhart is on the outside looking in. I doubt Garth would hesitate to put him on the tean if he proves himself in training camp though.

I hear a lot about Ryan Strome. Will probably have a few games in Bridgeport and then join the team by mid season. Brock Nelson also has a shot, didn't follow his college career too much but he put up some very good numbers at UND. Griffin Reinhart might still be a year away, but I think he might have a shot. Islanders 3rd defensive paring doesn't look too hot right now and maybe Reinhart could find a spot there.

I expect big things from Strome. He has star potential. He might need a few games in Bridgeport, but he'll get a long look in training camp. Nelson can play center or wing. He didn't look out of place in game 6 against the Penguins. I can't wait to see what the Isles defense looks like 2 years from now. I expect it to be very different than it is right now. Donovan, Reinhart, Pulock, De Haan, Mayfield, Pedan & quite a few others are going to make the vets earn their spots.

Hey, is the Traverse City tourney going to be shown on NHL Network? Anyone know?

Here is the Jackets Roster:
FORWARD: Alex Aleardi, Josh Anderson, Matej Beran, Oliver Bjorkstrand, , Michael Chaput, Oliver Gabriel, Jake Hansen, Boone Jenner, Jeremy Langlois, Nick Moutrey, Kerby Rychel, Peter Sakaris, Lukas Sedlak, Dalton Smith.

DEFENSE: Gianluca Curcuruto, Alex Gosselin, Dillon Heatherington, Thomas Larkin, Austin Madaisky, Dakota Mermis, Justin Sefton, Ryan Murray.

GOALTENDER: Oscar Dansk, Jordan Dekort.

Kind of odd to not see Ilari Melart or Alexander Wennberg going. I guess they weren't successful in convincing Wennberg to come to NA this year. Oh well.

Oh also, Dalton Prout was on the ice today. He had an abdominal muscle surgically repaired a month ago. Robot.
