1. Isa Abdul Quddus... I think is underrated. Most definitely an upgrade over James Ihedigbo.
2. Tahir Whitehead.... I think is underrated. No doubt Whitehead can fill the void at the mike position and a very good special teams player.
3. Haloti Ngata......... Played ever position on the Defensive Line, would be a great Mentor and serviceable backup.

That's a wash. Neither had a stand out season last year. Fairley has played beside two of the top DT in the league his entire career, and has nothing to show for it.

I have stated the Rams overpaid Fairley as a backup. When Fairley was with the Lions he was disruptive in one game and disappeared in the next. Fairley is another Lions Classic Case of showing up when it's for a contract extension ($$$). Too many Lions have had a breakout year the year before their contract year for that $$$ to ride the Gravy Train yet again. Unless Fairley's job is on the line I doubt we'll see his full potential back in Detroit.

Ouch, what gandy said ...Ngata was playing without Suh in Detroit. Fairley couldn't even smell a start with the Rams. For me, Fairley has already has his free ride in Detroit.
