Out of curiosity, what leads you to believe their offense is in bad shape, assuming McFadden is healthy?

Why would you assume McFadden is going to be healthy? He's never played more than 13 games in a season and he's never ran it over 225 times.

That's a fine point, but icehole said the offense "is in bad shape right now". Outside the obvious question of QB, considering McFadden is healthy right now, I'm curious what makes him think the offense is in bad shape right now.

As I stated above, the QB is an obvious question. Outside of that they seem to be solid everywhere else. O-line is good, running game is 2nd best in the league (before yesterday), the receivers are good. And from the stats I've looked at and reading up on the Raiders, it seems to this point they've relied heavily on the running game and allowed the QB to simply manage. Considering that, I'm curious what would lead someone to believe their offense is in bad shape right now.

The term right now implies "at this instant". At this very moment, their QB situation is bad, their RB is injured and they just lost 28-0, throwing 6 picks. I would say that "right now" their offense is in bad shape.

Actually, I didn't say anything. I asked a question.

I inferred he meant their overall play to this point. Anything else wouldn't make sense.

-For the first 6 weeks of the season, they got average QB play at best, but great ground play. Passing they were ranked in the mid 20's, running they were 2nd.

-Week 7 their ground game was still good, but their QB play was horrible. Considering they moved the ball all night, had it not been for 6 interceptions (2 pick 6's...anomaly), they would have been right in the game and their offense would have been decent at the very least.

If someone is going to project an offense going forward, common sense would dictate looking at a larger sample than 1 game. So a fair assumption would be icehole thinks the offense is in "bad shape" based on a number of games...which leads me to question what would make him think so.

Unless of course your argument is, I don't care how a team has fared in the first 6 weeks, they sucked yesterday, so they'll probably suck going forward.
