If Leonard is traded this year, it will, in all likelihood, be to an Eastern Conference team. The Lakers are trying hard to get a trade with Denver that will send Ball and the Deng contract out the door for a first round draft pick in return but this is dying as well.

The Deng contract is killing the chances and all of this along with the notion that SA is getting more adamant about sending Leonard east in conjunction with the deal being contingent on sending Ingram and the acquired draft pick from Denver to SA for Leonard is also going south rapidly as well.

Apparently Magic has come to his senses (if he ever left them) that he did not want to send SA basically the entire kiddie corp and two number ones for Leonard. That was way too steep a price as the negotiations came to the final demand of a trade package by SA of the Lakers sending Ingram, Kuzma, and two number ones for Leonard. Magic apparently did not want to part ways with Kuzma. Period.

Chris Paul has also re-signed with Houston. Suddenly, the two major moves this summer in FA for the Lakers will be signing Julius Randle to an extension and the Magic stepping-down fulfilling his own statement. The former I have been stating all along. The latter was an unforeseen move and a tragedy, as I believe Magic got caught-up in all of the hype and started running his mouth when he should have just STHU.

In all likelihood, Leonard will stay with SA this season. Also, Denver and the Sixers are actively trying to lure LeBron. This could get ugly.

If we dont get somebody this summer....he still has next summer before quitting. It wasn't based off this summer.

Denver is a complete non-factor. They are foolish to even waste their time on this.

Watch him bail and go to Sixers or Cavs. That would be hilarious

Lakers fans were all-in on this offseason...just a couple days into the FA period, it's "there's always next year"
