Giants' Jason Pierre-Paul out, Owa Odighizuwa doubtful vs. Packers

For a brief and fleeting moment, the New York Giants had some hope that defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (core muscle) would be able to return on wild-card weekend against the Green Bay Packers.

Those reports were almost immediately put to bed when it was revealed that Pierre-Paul was still several weeks away and that the NFC Championship Game remained his most likely target.

Accordingly, the team officially ruled JPP out on Friday.

In addition to Pierre-Paul, the Giants may also be without fellow defensive end Owa Odighizuwa, who is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury. He had been limited in practice all week, but did not participate on Friday.
