I was gonna start a new thread, but I'll use John's.

If it is any consolation, I'd like to put things in perspective.

(1) 2014 set all kinds of scoring records in the NFL. It's not as if records like that get broken every season.
(2) Is scoring down? You bet it is. I ran the numbers, sort of. (Had to base it on EOY 2014 figures.)

• Based on last season's numbers at week 5, the QB's ranked 1-6 averaged 132.3 points. This year the top 6 QB are averaging 124.5 points.
• The top 6 RB averaged 81.7 points in 2014. The top 6 RB this year are averaging 69.6 points.
• WR? The top 6 last season averaged 75.0 points. The top 6 WR so far are averaging 68.1.

It may seem minimal. But at this rate, this year's top-6 WR are on pace to score about 33 points less than last year. The top-6 RB are on pace to score about 40 points less by year's end. And the top-6 QB are on pace to score about 25 points less.

Also, just look at some of the rankings. For example, Brian Quick has hardly been considered fantasy elite. But one monster game has him at the edge of the top 12. Another example is QB Alex Smith. Most would not trust him on their fantasy squad. But he's literally 9 points away from being a top-10 QB.

So obviously those aren't guys to drop so do you have anybody to drop for say Winn and Holmes or Wright? Also if Hester is a go he may get some looks against his old team..........this is assuming this weeks waiver wire darlings are all gone.

Going to roll the dice with Mike Evans and Greg Jennings at WR. Bush may still play, but I'd like to get another RB. I have Jonathan Stewart, but even if he plays it's against a pretty stout defense.
I'm in a 12 team league, so it's pretty slim pickins at RB on the waiver wire.

I'm hoping to have my full lineup back in a couple weeks. I was leading the league in points when the injuries started, so as long as they all get back to work within 2 weeks, I should be fine to make the playoffs.
