When is it appropriate to cry refs?

I just see it as a way to allow for excuses. There are so many times in a football game that costs a team points that are controllable. Refs are not. Move on to the next play. Grousing about the past does nothing.

It's usually this that leads to implemented changes in officiating. Wouldn't be surprised to see a few rules looked at this offseason.

Bad calls not only affect the play the call was made on but may also affect momentum, which is a huge part of sports, especially college sports.

Taking a TD off the board in a tight game, especially a defensive TD, is a killer.

Sometimes, I think the replay referees do not understand the concept of "indisputable".

This whole "you didn't make enough plays to win" is moronic. When you make the plays and they're negated by bad officiating, that changes things dramatically. When points are taken off the board or drives are extended when they shouldn't be, that absolutely changes the game unquestionably.

Agree completely.

Some bad calls aren’t a big deal. A bad 2nd quarter spot on 2nd down being blamed for a loss is ridiculous. A phantom 3rd down holding call in the 4th that negates a big play and puts a team in 3rd and 18 is huge.

They weren’t too bad this time. Seems like only their more reasonable posters have been around.

Was more of a callback to some past games over the last couple years, where Wisconsin lost after a controversial call. They would completely lose their shit on here.

I will defend the tOSU fans on that one. They DID have some legitimate complaints, and only one of their posters was truly obnoxious about it (and that is 1 out of a HUGE fan base on here).

Had that been tOSU beating, say TCU, and the calls going tOSU’s way, most of this board would be moaning and groaning how badly “TCU got screwed”. Fact is, tOSU is one of the most disliked programs out there, and their fans often get criticized when it really isn’t warranted.
