What's the latest on Andre Ellington?

The latest news is that he could play this week but they're just trying to figure out if it's worth it or not.

Personally I don't think it's worth it. Rest him a couple weeks and let him come back 100%.

I don't mess with questionable/game time decision for sunday night or monday night games because if they missed the game you're screwed. I bench them ASAP

Man- I was buying the koolaid on this guy. Hate to see him on my bench but I am sitting him. I have Joique in but won't switch them out even though both play Monday. Hope Ellington is back full speed next week.

I have no idea.

When Ball was still there I about shat myself.......then when Ellington was still there at the end of the 4th round I think I did shat myself.

That doesn't work in MBBRL. I waited on RBs getting Calvin, BMarsh and Julius Thomas in first three rounds. Best avilable RBs in 4th were Sankey, Reggie Bush and Ben Tate. I am counting on my receivers.

Well there are plenty of people who didn't think Ball would be worth a 1st. . And plenty of people that didn't buy Ellington as a an every down back. .I guess your league had plenty of both. I don't think it's a big stretch at all.

I did around 50 mocks and didn't get all 3 of them in one single draft.

My money league was the first draft I got them all. I wanted all 3 of them too.

Listen ya lil' schmucks, Ellington averaged the most yards per carry in the entire NFL last year (min. 100 carries) and he is deadly in the open field. With his speed and ability to get multiple receptions per game, I think it makes him a very high upside pick this year, especially in PPR's.

How he handles a bigger workload is TBD, but he made the most out of his chances last year and I expect him to continue to improve with a much better O-Line in place.

Difference is, Donald Brown wasn't a rookie getting limited touches and he also didn't have anywhere near the amount of receiving yards that Ellington did. Plus Brown won't be the center of the offense this year and Ellington will so that's a pretty irrelevant comp.

Very true. All I said is I think he's shown he has the upside to breakout and become a top 5 RB this year IF HEALTHY. Not saying it WILL happen... trust me I'm skeptical about my own team's guys' in fantasy... it's still to be determined.

But 118 carries and 39 receptions with over 1,000 total yards in your rookie year is pretty impressive. Now let's see if he builds on it.

FOX Sports 910's Mike Jurecki is hearing that Ellington has two options now that doctors have decided against surgery. He can either put a boot on for 2-3 weeks to strengthen the muscle before returning, or he can simply try to gut it out and play in a limited capacity...
