What's the latest on Andre Ellington?

Yup got Kaep, Gio and DT as my keepers. Was going to be Ellington or Cobb. Had decided I was going to go Ellington but now I don't know.

Ellington (if healthy) is going to have a huuuuge year. Last year he was limited due to Arians weird love for Mendenhall. Now the offense is going to revolve around him and he has the ability to get 125+ yards per game between rushing and receiving.

I've heard so many different reports that I don't know what to believe at this point, but I hope they rest him week 1 at least so he can come back at or close to full strength. Not worth risking at this point... especially since he's our back for the foreseeable future.

Chares averaged 132 yards per game
forte averaged 120 yards per game

exactly 2 running backs averaged 125 plus in STELLAR seasons......thats a very big suggestiong that hes that good........

He has that type of upside. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he broke out and had that big of a year. He's gotten some comparisons to Jamaal Charles and he could finish in the top 5 in total yards this year if he stays healthy. Not saying he will, but he could.

I know, that hasn't happened since Martin did it back in 2012, almost a fiftieth of a century ago. Of course Martin didn't have 2000 combined yards. Have to go all the way back to Arian Foster ten years after the turn of the century to see a story like that.

(Not that I'm high on Ellington, but it does happen.)

I never saw that kind of ability whenever I watched a Cardinals game last year. . Truly a little surprised that so many are that high in the kid. Is he good? Hell yes! Does he scream next big thing? Not at all, not to me

Reminds me of a coach saying something to the effect of "we'll run CJ Spiller until he pukes"...I didn't buy that either.. Thank gawd.

That the one thing that I really hate about preseason, those coaches say so much bowshat there's no way of knowing what to believe

When Ball was still there I about shat myself.......then when Ellington was still there at the end of the 4th round I think I did shat myself.

With the gloomy news that Ellington could be out 4-5 weeks, I find it a bit interesting that his playing status is currently listed as "Questionable." So he has the dreaded "game-time decision" fantasy guillotine hanging over his head - for a Monday Night game no less.

Not an ideal situation, but it doesn't sound like he's as "out" as some early reports indicated. That said, foot problems could be a lingering, nagging problem.
