What to do

Shot an Sig MPX. Absolutely loved the pistol. Don't mind dropping the coin. Also, would rather have a beefier round than 9mm. Do not like an SBR, would rather Bullpup than SBR. Would much prefer to stay pistol. 300 blackout is an option, but most "experts" say it is a silencer specific round. Trying to find 45 or 10mm seems difficult/impossible. Any suggestions? Am I over thinking the 9mm? Not a fan if the AR pistol platform with the bump out thingy in the back. Looking for short.

Yes, very interested. Wasn't sure I wanted as pure an AR platform, but I found an adapter to fold the stock (will not shoot folded but storage wise). Trying to figure out caliber now. 9? 45? 40? Wish it came in 10mm.

Price wise 9mm is going to be about $7 to $8 a box cheaper for target ammo than a 45 round. With a Sig MPX I imagine you're going to put some volume down range and the price differential is going to add up quick.

I prefer the 45 in my pistols because I've just found them to be more dead on for me and I just like the feel. However I'm not throwing 100s of rounds down range at a time.

Apparently, a very limited dump of the pistol version occurred here in the US.

Price wise 9mm is going to be about $7 to $8 a box cheaper for target ammo than a 45 round. With a Sig MPX I imagine you're going to put some volume down range and the price differential is going to add up quick.

I prefer the 45 in my pistols because I've just found them to be more dead on for me and I just like the feel. However I'm not throwing 100s of rounds down range at a time.

Yea, I have a 45 pistol among my others. My idea for this purchase is home defense. I'm a bit concerned with overshooting a 9mm or 300 blackout or .223. Was thinking the .45 would not travel quite as far if discharged, but honestly, the key is, don't miss. I'm 90% certain I'm going 9mm. So I'll look again at the Sig. Meeting with a Master Sig Dealer tomorrow.

If it's just home defense get a S&W Govenor and alternate the loads between 45 shells an .410 home defense shells. You aren't going to miss with the .410 and next 45 shot puts them down for good in case you just winged them.

Not wanting to go with an AR platform or 9mm certainly limits your prospects
There's a handful of compaines building HK platforms and of course many who build on AK platforms.
