Their #2 now essentially becomes a #1.

Assuming the Rams jumped up to take Wentz #1 overall, maybe the Browns will select Bosa now like I've wanted them to.

Haslam would be dumb enough to trade that # 2 pick for Tony Romo.:L
Sadly, an injured Tony Romo is still an upgrade compared to who now is the starting QB for the Brownies.:behindsofa:

If the Browns pass on Jared Goff and roll with RGIII they are dumber than I thought.

They'll trade it to the Titans for a 1st and a 3rd

Never, EVER underestimate the dumbness of the Browns.

Browns could get some serious picks as well, they don't have to take Goff nor Wentz, to many other glaring holes, trade back gain extra picks and rebuild it...

Jimmy Haslam said the other day if a team offers up enough 8th round picks he'd consider trading the # 2 pick.

Depends on their opinions of those 2 QBs. If they think they're franchise types, then you gotta pull the trigger and take one at #2. If they think they aren't quite at that level, then you have a bevy of options open to you.

Being a Buckeye homer, I desperately want them to take Bosa since they have glaring needs on the D-line. They do still have the #32 overall pick to take a QB if they want to go that route too.

I don't think I could disagree with you more.

Goff is far from a sure thing, especially playing in the AFC North. RG3 is obviously no sure thing, but he still has loads of potential, and Hue Jackson knows how to get the most out of QBs (he made Andy Dalton into a frickin MVP candidate before he got hurt).

The way I see it, I'm hoping for a trade down. We need picks and lots of them. Worst case scenario, RG3 comes in and sucks, and we're back at the top of the draft board next year (which we likely would be anyhow). I like Deshaun Watson more than Goff anyhow. The Browns aren't contending this year unless every pick they make has an ODB/Aaron Donald/Khalil Mack-style rookie year. Sad thing is, QB isn't even close to being their most glaring weakness right now.

I know your homerism is kicking in, but you also have an OL that is thinning out with the departure of Mack, plus guards need up grade, and another tackle opposite Thomas....

I know you love Bosa, but trading back to gain extras could be very huge.........:suds: To decisions for your Brownies man...
