Well, we got a good 2 weeks off to fix some items.

Appears our defense is starting to come into their own again... Lane will be amazing to get back next game considering he's a top 5 nickel (IMO) cornerback and Richardson will be another weapon for Wilson.

That said, I'd really like to see the play of Wilson improve. I think he's holding onto the ball too long on some cases, overthrowing receivers, and just plain not playing very well. I get the OL sucks but it's a brand new OL basically, it takes some time to gel. I'd really like to see Wilson and Bevell get some good playcalling going next game. Seems like Wilson/Graham are starting to take off a bit though.

5 of our last 8 are at home so that should be really good for Wilson. Cincy, GB, and St. Louis all on the road. Outside of Zona our tough road games are over. Second half should be an intense one for Seattle! GO HAWKS!

Pretty much everything on offense. The one positive thing I can take away from tonight is that as the O-Line continue to play together, they'll get better. Today was great, they did not allow Greg Hardy to get to RW much and did not sack him. Sure, Hardy rushed him and knocked him down a few times but ZERO sack. Huge positive in that regards and they looked improved.

If there's one person that could stand to improve over this break the most it's by far Wilson. He's just not right.
He is getting a bit better with Graham and he's learning a bit about what he has in Lockett, but his timing is off and he doesn't have the same feel for the pocket he had in prior years. They are entirely taking away the QB run so he has to step up his passing game to make up those yards and so far he is not.

100% agreed WizardHawk. Wilson has gotta get himself composed. He's overthrowing quite a few guys and a bit jumpy in the pocket. The O-Line actually gave him some pretty good time today and he's bailing a bit from the pocket before he needs to. There were some VERY quick slants/routes today that Wilson was throwing behind on.... when he had adequate time. Hopefully a zero sack game IN Dallas with a healthy Hardy will calm Wilson down some.

He didn't take any sacks, but that doesn't mean he didn't take any hits. Hardy had him eating turf a bunch of times.

He's just got to get his head a bit more right and I don't claim to know how.

Wilson got the ball out fast today or there would have been MANY sacks. He missed on some throws but he has to learn to trust his line and step into his throws better, that will take time as they have been nothing but crap all season. The Offense was playing a pretty weak defense and put up 13 point's so that is nothing to cheer about, the Defense Stopped Matt Cassel again nothing to really cheer about. The win is cheer worthy and the Bye is needed. Lets hope Wilson gets back to his normal self which will take the line playing at the same level or better than they did today and they figure out wtf is wrong with the redzone offense.

Wilson got the ball out FAST today and that's why there was not many deeper throws it also tells you how they could have a 17 play drive ( the winning drive ) and even with him getting the ball out fast he was getting KILLED!! don't let the Zero sacks fool you people although the line played better those zero sacks was because of Wilson more than the oline.

If anythong OL.

12th hit i on the head. Our blocking has moved from Attroious to below average, but the OL was not the reason. Wilson had a quick release.

Everytime he saw a white shirt free. Ball was out

I'm ok with how RW is playing. He missed some throws yesterday both in terms of accuracy and not pulling the trigger in time, but he's still making plays and taking care of the ball. Of course he can play better, but we don't have the 4 losses for QB play.

I think we just need to stay the course. We are holding up well with injuries, seem to be getting healthier when most teams are going the other direction, and to a large degree these seasons are wars of attrition. The OL is making some strides, and that will help the O down the stretch if they keep it up.

Reading through PFF, at least there's this:

– LG Justin Britt (+3.8) may be settling into his spot in the interior. After opening the season with six consecutive negative game grades, the second-year former right tackle has found his way to back-to-back positives. This game saw him earn strong grades protecting the QB (+1.2) and blocking for the run (+2.9), something he did only twice last season—in Week 1 and then in the Super Bowl.

Sweezy also posted a positive grade. Hopefully the bye week really allows these guys to gel. 3 consecutive home games.... that's gotta feel really good for Seattle. Pitts lost Bell for the season too, that'll help against that game.

There's no doubt the line has improved, but enough? And what's their ceiling? They didn't run the ball that well yesterday against Dallas and while there were no sacks, it's not like Wilson had 5 second pockets all day either.

Wilson and Lynch both made bad decisions in that game. Wilson also did make some outstanding plays like that last first down where he scrambled left and ran it like 8 yards.

Take the best case scenario. The line keeps slowing improving, but you are still going to give up sacks and at times the run game will look bad. Wilson gets in better sync with Graham and Richardson along with Lockett both give some shots in the arm to the passing game. Is it enough to win out and make a run?

IMO the best you are going to see that line play is maybe lower middle of the league? :noidea: I can't see it becoming a fully competent line this season.

Allowing ZERO touchdowns to our opponents two game in row on the road is pretty impressive. The D has been playing very well. Just need to get our redzone Offense going.

Think it bears mentioning in the Wilson discussion that even though the team had only converted 2 3rd downs all game, in the GW drive, Wilson completed two third down passes, and ran for a third conversion himself.

He's certainly not perfect, but I think that we forget that he generally raises his game in tough spots

That was vintage Wilson yesterday. I was sleeping for the first 3.5 quarters with a gnarly Halloween hangover. But I saw the final drive and he was in the zone. I don't care about the rest of the game, when they needed his killer instinct, it was there. And they've been missing that recently.

Or, he needs to bang her like a snare drum on a nightly basis. Might help him play a little more relaxed.

This... This has to improve... Our offense has to figure it out... Graham needs to be a focus in both of these categories... Sometimes it's not there but you have to make his your 1st option more than not when you're going to throw it... If not, then why did we trade for him because he can't block for the life of him... He's worse than a guy trying to hit a whiffle ball thrown hard over hand

We need to figure these two categories out because we're going to be in every game and it's going to be important that we put teams away on offense when we have that opportunity... Yesterday was another example... We were o'fer in the red zone again yesterday...

Redzone efficiency is easily our biggest weakness. Get that fixed and we'll be OK. It wouldn't hurt if our defense (which is still playing lights out) could manage a few turnovers too. They've been sorely lacking in that department this year. Maybe it's bad luck or maybe teams are being uber careful throwing against our secondary but something is different this year.

Here is an interesting tidbit though: Russel Wilson actually is throwing for more yards per game than Aaron Rodgers (who would have thought that??) and has the 5th best yards per attempt in the NFL along with the 7th best completion percentage. If he could start hitting some guys in the endzone for TD's he'd be having a great year.
