JJM on the money... see my post 8 post up...

And Zorbi, what the heck did you see that I did not?

"Got Better"

I must be an idiot because I seen the same old clock wasting, indecisive, telegraphing Zac that was there last year!

I am not trying to beat on Zac, he is a good kid, but c'mon... He does not possess half the talent that Martinez does!

Of course, I never played on that side of the ball, but I would have much rather faced a QB like Lee then a QB like Martinez any day.

I have to say.... I am just baffled by these comments!

Go Big Red!

Texas appeared to enjoy playing against Martinez more than against Lee. I know my vision isn't what it used to be, but Martinez certainly looked like he got rattled, but not as much as Green would have in that same situation.

I'll say it for the 3rd or 4th time, Martinez will get better with more experience under his belt, but he isn't there yet.

It may or may not happen this week, but against Missouri we can expect to see them do the same thing that Texas did to Martinez, so Bo better be ready to place Lee in there before we get down by 20 or more points.

Pelini said today during this teleconference that he made a mistake by putting Lee in the game. I don't think it's going to happen again.

BRS I didn't even see your post up there........looks like we were thinkin alike on the subject

They practiced for our zone read for two weeks, and still Martinez found open receivers on one of the supposed best secondary in the land. If the ball would have been caught, this discussion would not be happening.

As for him being rattled, I am not sure rattled is the right word, but your right, he will get better.

But I will say this.... I would rather have a rattled Martinez at the helm then a confident Lee, if the results were going to be what we have seen this year and last! With Lee, we will get no better then what we were, with Martinez, the sky is the limit as time goes on.

Go Big Red!

He really said that?! As a head coach he should be the first to realize that sometimes a QB change is a good thing, even if it was for a series or two.

I hope he doesn't think he should've placed Green in there.

I won't say neither of you know what you're talking about, but Osborne may think that.

He's had QB changes many times in situations like what we saw on Saturday.

Yes he did. This article says he is "second guessing" the decision. But he actually said that after reviewing the game film he doesn't think he made the right decision.

It may have been the wrong decision to replace him for the whole game, but he was right to place Lee in there.

Sometimes just benching a QB for one series to let him settle down is the right thing to do.

I totally disagree with you on this comment. With the lights on everyone would be able to see Green even if he was running around like Scott Baldwin used to do! :D

I don't recall??????

So he was the 90's version of Herschel Walker?

I would not say that...

Nobody really knew anything about what the heck he was going through.

I remember we were supposed to have a team meeting with Coach and he (Coach) took off like a flash because Scotty hurt himself while going through one of his episodes!

Kinda scary shit!

You may not be old enough to remember, but back in the early 90's they were referred to as 'we backs' instead of I backs because they were both on the field at the same time or rotated a lot.

Scotty Baldwin and Derek Brown were 'we backs'

I forgot Calvin Jones..He was a we back in 92..
