If Zac Lee was our starter, Nebraska WOULD STILL BE UNDEFEATED!!!

We all saw how Zac Lee calmed his offensive teammates down while in the huddle. Again, I'm not bashing Martinez because I believe he'll improve and be a great player down the road for our team.

I still have a yelling hangover from yesterday!

I'm not going to bash on you........ because, it serves no purpose......

But..... Zac Lee would NOT have made niles or Rex whoever catch those damn balls...... Martinez moved the offense just fine, also....

Also not so sure how we do against Washington or KSUcks if Lee was the QB........

Lee is a game manager........ not a game winner...

You made the right decision about not bashing me because I'm still pissed off about that inexcusable loss yesterday.

Lee isn't a game winner? Martinez wasn't either in this case, but Lee has had a few "tight" big game experiences so I truly believe some of those passes that were dropped was because of our receivers trying too hard to make plays, and being wound as tight as springs. Like I said before, he would've had them calmed down early on so they could execute the plays much better. After the first quarter it should have been obvious to Bo that our big game QB was the best choice.

Wow what a way to dampen the season! Also, with Ohio State losing that would've really turned yesterday into an exciting day and night.

As it has already been said, the QB position was not the problem yesterday.

OL, WR, defensive tackling, play calling, and on and on until it takes a while to get to the QB position.

That's true, but an ugly win would've been better than a loss.

With Lee, I truly believe we would still be in the top 5 and within reach of a NC shot.

A calmer team = calmer receivers and Lee would have given them that feeling.

Martinez is starting against OSU so I hope he's pulled a lot sooner in this game if he isn't getting the job done. If not then things will get out of hand even worse than the UT game. We should know by the end of the first quarter.

I'm sure you noticed that with Lee in there, Nebraska drove the length of the field when all looked lost?

Why was that? Experience in big games and his maturity level.

Also, I'm sure you noticed that our defense played better when they saw the offense performing at a higher level?

You may have not, but I sure would've preferred a win over the inexcusable loss we had yesterday. Again, it should have been obvious after the first quarter or so that Martinez wasn't the answer.

By the way, it's not mute, it's moot and my opinion does matter here.

lets not get too far into depression here
yes texas has lost a couple games, but they are texas and have more talent than almost anyone in the country

I think our oline still isnt national title good obviously
we dont have a real play maker at WR yet, we have possession guys, but we dont have a maclin type

our scheme on D is there, and is national title good, we have a play maker at QB that is a freshman, and he'll play like a freshman from time to time

we're a good team, and i dont see a D that can stop us on the schedule
OU isnt on the schedule, and i think by that point we'll be more settled in with everything

LOL @ picking on my spelling.......... :D

And I'm not saying your opinion doesn't matter......

Just saying I disagree with it.....

And that saying that because Lee had a good drive- doesn't mean it serves as a reason to promote Lee over Martinez........

Martinez had a 54 yard drive with a dropped touchdown........ and 29 yard drive with a dropped touchdown........

Lee had a 83 yard drive that ended in a field goal(that had a dropped touchdown)...... and a 21 yard drive with a dropped touchdown......

I'm not a gay guy, but with Lee in there we would be 6-0. That certainly is better than 5-1.

There's a 1.25% chance I'm wrong about Lee!

IMO it doesn't matter who the QB is at this point, all the above has been already pointed out. However I did notice their defense sure did change scheme as soon as Lee came in, not like it mattered with a greased ball anyway but it did start to loosen the running lanes up and made them defend more than 1 play call

Maybe because they thought Lee was more of a passing threat than Martinez was?

Why did Nebraska move the length of the field in Lee's first series? Well it was certainly helped by 2 15 yard penalties. 1 of those helped us on what would have been 3rd and 12. And the 2nd series we went 12 plays and 21 yards. That isn't exactly marching it down the field in style.

I am not bashing Lee or even you for your opinion. I just don't see it the way you are.

And the defense played better in the 2nd half since the noticed Texas wasn't going to throw the ball EVER. After Texas' first series of the 2nd half they threw only TWO passes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even I could play good defense when I know they are just going to do one thing.

I watched the game again yesterday (B/c I enjoy pain) Martinez is the right guy for the starting job and I think he will run all over the cowboys on saturday. However Lee moved the ball better against texas. That could have to do with the defense not being prepared for Lee I dont know but he did move the ball better. Martinez in 2 and 1/2 quaters really only put together 1 drive that made it past the 50 Lee had 3. However I don't think the QB is the reason we lost and I don't like the call to put Lee in.
