:wank:

Winning championships in the 50's and 60's is meaningless.

JFC, Cleveland and Philadelphia won a bunch of titles back then too because the league sucked balls.

I disagree about the '50s and '60s, though. The league had gotten a lot stronger financially by then, and the level of the athletes had gotten pretty good by then, much closer to what we would expect from a pro football game nowadays compared to what it was like earlier in NFL history. I think the talent level in the NFL in the '40s and prior was pretty low. Except for true star athletes like a Jim Thorpe, Red Grange, Don Hutson, and players of that ilk, the rest of the players wouldn't look like professional athletes to us.

Meh, college level players locked into shitty pro contracts with no leverage in terms of movement.

We'll never know how Vince Lombardi, Chuck Noll, Don Shula et al would have fared if they had to deal with free agency/salary cap era that exists today.

Yeah, it's impressive what the Patriots have been able to manage. I was just thinking about the talent level in the league. I think it had come a long way and reached a professional grade by the '50s.

It works both ways....Thank God Noll drafted real well back then and developed the player’s skills.....because you were stuck with shitty players and couldn’t just acquire talent when you needed it....

Thought with AB's misconduct this is probably a relevant discussion again.

How about MLB reaction to filming in comparison to the slap on the wrist BB and Kraft received. It was ten times harsher...

Knowing what you know now after everything (and it's been a decade and a half of deceit, excuses, murder and rampant cheating) what has "the Patriot Way" come to mean to you in five words or less.

I'll go first.

win at all costs
nothing is sacred
complete lack of integrity
zero character
it means:

always winning. next man up mentality. no one is bigger than the team.

“Patriot Way” is the term used for how you wish to receive your happy ending at an Asian massage parlor.

“You want happy ending?”

- Asian masseuse

“Yes please. I’ll take the ‘patriot way’”

- you

Btw... it’s fabulous

You guys thought mass murder was cool when your star TE did it, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you also find slavery to be "fabulous."

Nice.

Absolutely agree and you could actually argue that the decades-long cheating scheme of the Patriots garnered them a significantly higher advantage against their opponents.

You have to wonder how many extra wins this got them.

NW: filming doesn't help win games

The Aaron Hernandez Netflix special is due out soon. It should be good but nothing compared to the Kraft Netflix special.

The only thing keeping him from killing people at Florida, was sharing a bed with Tebow.

Why was Tom Brady so selfish?

If the special documents how the ex-FBI Special Agent hired by the Patriots for security was fully aware of the extent of Aaron Hernandez's pattern of violent criminal behavior leading up to the mass murder and related this all to Robert Kraft who then failed to act, how will you feel?

Disingenuous response completely lacking any sincerity whatsoever in 3... 2... 1...
