No, because he's 30 years old, a full time AHLer, and can't seem to focus on his hockey career. Even with drug problems, Theo Fleury was a 7 time all star, a 1,000+ point scorer, & a Stanley Cup champion. I'm not sure what Paul Ranger has ever done to be comparable to Theo Fleury.

I somewhat agree, but it takes a lot of commitment to be a NHL player. Paul Ranger obviously doesn't have that commitment anymore.

I think it's pretty cool this guy did what he thought was best for him despite what critics and the general public thought. That takes a certain amount of bravery regardless of the situation.
