Washington is basically offering Gortat and 15.

Is Oubre a RFA this year?
you make some good points- im kind of spitballing...would have to really look at it to make sure of all the particulars.

I dont see the Nuggets wanting him as he is similar to Jokic in some ways. The Clips have Gallo who is a stretch 4 so that really doesnt make sense unless gallo is coming back as a salary dump- and if thats the case- the Cavs would be getting ripped for the 12th pick and Gallo for Love.

Suns at 16 just makes a lot of sense to me. Ayton would thrive if they had Love on the perimeter stopping double teams. The #16 pick and or the 2021 Miami unprotected, and a player like a Bender or Chriss-- and an expiring like T. Chandler or if they wanted to give up another asset a bad contract like a Knight makes a whole lot of sense.

Suns make sense on paper, but they were just so bad that I'm not sure they're gonna go all in like that.

they have so many assets though and and already have so many young players- you cant have a roster of just 22 year old kids....

They have 3 extra first rounders i believe coming the next few years. I dont think they will want to tank another year. With Booker, Ayton, Jackson they have their young core. If i were them id move to the next phase and try and win.

Booker, Ayton, Jackson is a fucking helluva young core- and thats not even counting guys like Warren, Chriss, Bender etc. who are by no means stars and will prob never be stars but could be solid players.

if LeBron leaves Ty Lue will be gone- both of his own accord and becsue they dont want him, so fast it will make your head spin.

1 more year of Jr...hes only guaranteed like 3-4M if i am not mistaken the following year.

Frankly with all those assets they'd be better off making a Brow pitch.

I don't know, that's just one more player to add to the Suns that doesn't defend his position well. Booker is another, and Ayton has a long way to go (but is very young of course).

Boston or Philly could easily trump them for Brow I would think

As could Minnesota I think. Towns rumors? Towns and Wiggins for Brow?

if anyone trades for Brow i think its Boston in an package not often seen in pro sports.

i don't think they trade Townes. Basically everyone else would be fair game.

Minny really should've traded Wiggins for PG13 last year and just went all in.

Hood looked decent in game 3.

Offensively, now don’t me wrong the team defense was awful but Hood is very good defensively. He let a number of guys gets wide open layups

So in the fire sale, what goes first?

1. Well for sure Lebron must leave, which is probably 76% chance
2. Promote then a sign and trade solution to obtain something back like they did before
3. Move Love. Actually that contract looks good. 2 years at 25M. Heck you might get Lebron to help promote that deal to his new club.
4. Take on bad deals for picks
5. Hire a temporary coach and start the tank.

Who wants Love? Who needs Love?

fixed the bold part for you.

If I'm the Cavs I not trading a good trade value in Love without you taking a bad contract too.

That assumes Love is a good value.

While packaging Love with a TT or Hill seems like a good idea, who is willing to take on $45 million in salary?

You would be able to return expiring contracts and maybe a late 1st pick.

You tell me.

The Celtics were 3-2 against the Cavs with Love and 0-2 against the Cavs without Love.

He is a good player.

I would rather have the 9th pick in a loaded draft and save about 22 million.

That would make sense for Washington.

If you can get Oubre, 15 and Gortat, i'm not sure you're gonna get much better than that.

Worst case with Oubre and Hood is you have some expiring deals to get an asset at the TD from a team trying to clear cap room for the summer.
