Immanuel Velikovsky's "Earth in Upheaval"
I bought Hyperion a few months ago and have it on my shelf. Everything I talked to says it is one of the best books they have ever read.
the sequels not so much...but Hyperion is a must.
Excellent. Been jonsen for some sci-fi since completing the Expanse (which might be my favorite series of all time). It's a must-read for anyone into sci-fi/fantasy.
The first book is like Canterbury Tales. I'd recommend it to anyone.
I've read just about everything he's written so far. One of my favorites.Just finished the books in Sanderson's Stormlight Archive series. The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, Oathbringer, and Rhythm of War. Also zipped through the 2 in between novellas, Edgedancer and Dawnshard. Sanderson really knows what he is doing. I'm thinking about reading some of his other stuff from the Cosmere setting, like the Mistborn series.
I'm sorry, I meant I recently read The Final Empire. If you're into Sanderson, don't skip Arcanum Unbounded.
Lots of short stories/Novella's set in between different books that flesh things out a bit.

I want to get into those as well, but I was thinking about starting with his first "trilogy" with Malice.Shadow of the Gods and Hunger of the Gods by John Gwynne. Nice paced, norse fiction.
About 200 pages into Winslow's Power of the Dog. Excellent stuff so far.Anyone ever read any Don Winslow? Just finished The Force and I'm impressed. Gonna jump into his Cartel trilogy next I think.
