Has Part 1 been so spoiled you aren’t even willing to play it through? It’s such a great story.
I plan on getting around to it at some point. I did just finish a game from 2014 so it wouldn't be too crazy to play a game from 2013.

Being a modern video game fan is weird. There has really only been one banner year since 2013 which was 2017 imo. No reason not to have a collection of old games back when they made games at a better clip.

I borrowed it on PS3 from a friend and played it on easy to beat it so I could return it quickly. One of my first purchases on PS4 was Last of Us. Part of modern games problem is they have become pretty formulaic.

I wouldn't say games are more or less formulaic than at any other point in time. You have a lot of open world games but I wouldn't say too many. A lot of melee combat games for 'hardcore' players but they all seem to have slightly different wrinkles. There were a ton of Telltale games but not anymore.

Sony games do have some similarities - lots of story and with a slow start to ease gamers into the setting, a non-customizable main character, human enemies, sometimes mixed in with some sort of epic enemies, camera zoomed in as much as possible but not first-person so you still see your character, good general gameplay loop, somewhat lackluster boss fights, really impressive visual style.

I think that covers Horizon Zero Dawn, Spider-Man, God of War, Gravity Rush 2, Ratchet and Clank remake, probably Last of Us 2, probably Ghosts of Tsushima. Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne are the only two I can think of that deviate from that story/gameplay middle ground with U4 leaning into story and BB leaning into gameplay.

Nintendo....honestly....I think the Switch is the most overrated game console in the history of video games. It has Breath of the Wild which would've been the Wii U killer app if it didn't die and it has Mario Odyssey which is a decent 3D Mario. And a bunch of safe titles on an underpowered system that tried to be the Wii and DS at the same time but both the Wii and DS had way better games. Switch is also the most expensive system to buy games for. Nutty that its as popular as it is. I see people doing the Switch/PC thing but if I had that combo then 95% of the games I'd buy would be on PC.

Xbox game pass is probably the best deal in video game history. Microsoft isn't bringing much with the first party but it honestly seems like a really good system to own overall.

So my theory as to why video games are kind meh right now is because Nintendo is the New York Yankees of video games and they just don't care enough to dominate that market. Probably because the mobile market and online markets are areas that they haven't figured out how to compete in.

Fallout 76 with all the updates they've made is fantastic now. Finally have NPCs, they took a lot of fan feedback into account and improved the game. Feels like a real Fallout game now.

Now I play mini games online at Friv 4 School
When I have a short break at work, these little games help me relax and reduce the long working time.
Candy Crash is my favorite game.

Master of Magic which just came out on Steam with a new DLC mod. The thing is that the source code to this game has been lost a while ago so this guy had to patch the executable with a hex-editor.

Turned out pretty good.

DL’ed Last of Us 2 and ticked off I can’t return it after the first 2 hours. Think this game could turn me off of video games for a while. These writers are incredible, to ruin a franchise within 2 hours of a sequel is remarkable.

They were pissed about the leaked footage because they knew it would cause an outrage.
Their defense of this garbage is so lame. ‘It’s meant to cause a discussion’. I didn’t buy this trash for a discussion, I bought it for a continuation of my favorite game of all time. I have no problem with LBGT themes or discussion, but to put that into a game as a way to deflect criticism is a joke.

Been sick to my stomach about this for 2 days. Is it pathetic that I feel this way? Absolutely, but damn man I can’t believe they did this.

There are many games. You can choose anything in any flavor and type. It seems to me that last time the game was developing but in a commercial way.
To host something and be a qualified gamer, you should pay for it all: weapons. status. other equipment.
Of course, people want it and they will pay for this, even if they are not eligible.
I played early in a large number of games. However, I chose a game genre as Friv4 - School - Online Educational Friv Games
All the games here are interesting, like arcade, adventure, action, cooking and sports ... and
other games are very bright and awesome.

Was very much down to play Horizon Zero Dawn on PC but I read the optimization was crap. Seems like a Batman Arkham Knight sort of release. Good game, but needs to be patched first and fixed.. can't wait to play it though.
