Given Josh's injury history, his drug history, his incredibly bad production the last 2 months, and the fact that at least one team out there will surely take a chance and offer him crazy money, what is that chance the Rangers try to move him prior to the trade deadline.

It sounds crazy, but it would be better to get something for him know, than get nothing for him later, especially give the fact that he is giving us almost zero production for two months.

There's better chance you get struck by lightning twice in the sane day. You don't trade a player capable of putting the team on his back and carrying it through October.

We will ride him through this season, hope he gets hot in time for the playoffs and then take our draft pick compensation when he signs elsewhere

Nobody is going to offer anything worth a crap for a guy that has past drug and injury issues, and hasn't hit for 2 months, other teams notice things like this

I'm still wondering how he thinks he's going to be worth what he thinks he's worth when he refuses to make any adjustments at the plate, and then when he does can't hit a fastball down the middle of the plate

Jesus didn't need a truckload of cash to get the Gospel out, neither does Josh Hamilton, he might have to start looking at the reality of the situation, each AB at this point is costing him thousands if not millions of dollars, unless he gets his head out of his butt and starts hitting...

Same goes for Napoli and Cruz (at least he has another year), though Napoli is showing signs of coming out of his funk

Great idea to trade him

You just lost any little bit of credibility you had. Why don't you go sit on your hands until football season.

No chance he is traded ... but in any case at this level you don't pay for potential (that's why you draft what you draft)... you pay for performance.

Hamilton was lights out through May ... then has plummeted. When a teen is getting straight As in high school ... and then all of a sudden is failing everything ... its not the teachers grading harder ... its something to do with the student. Nobody has said it ... but wonder he has had a substance test lately?

That's what is going to cross the mind of that teenager.

He gets tested three times a week. Always has since coming back. That hasn't changed.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere where Hamilton is subject to testing, at the very least, weekly
