I understand, they are trying the Brady/ Belichick thing....without the prerequisite offensive power that they had in N.E. It is a copycat league!

Almost everyone here agreed that this team had to rely on their defense to win this year, with at least one exception. Most, also agreed that this was not a version of the vaunted Bears or Ravens teams of yesteryear. Considering the NFL today, how exactly was that going to work?

Should it be this bad though? I don't think so. Take the games we/ve played against upper teir teams and the Skins have allowed 22/30 first downs and both Herbert and Allen have absolutely lit them up. There's no pass rush, coverage is shitty, tackling shoddy and this was after they were challenged by their HC to do something. Del Rio's coaching has been horrible.

People bought into the whole defensive thing, I didn't because I looked at the whole picture and saw a defense that began slowly, then gained momentum as the season moved along last year. There was this one other thing that I mentioned as a reason for concern, level of competition!! It was all done against second and third level teams, the schedule this year isn't that and what we're seeing now is a true reflection of a team that finished 7-9 against lesser competition.

I don't think you can say the offense had a good day either. Two turnovers that cost them 14 points. WTF were out matched all around.
