And you keeping up comparing the Warriors to the Heat for what? Doesn't change the fact the Warriors season is a disappointment if they don't win the title. I understand this is hard for you to comprehend
What's hard to comprehend is your hypocrisy. It's just stupid to say what they have done all season means nothing if they don't top it off with a title.

And you're right...comparing the Warriors & Heat IS just ridiculous- especially since LBJ left. Because he took your expectations of winning again right along with him. :dhd:

Hahaha when did GS become a championship or bust team?

:L When you are the defending champs and the #1 seed going into the playoffs and you are trying to prove a point because you feel you were disrespected when you won the title the previous season...you are championship or bust.

Actually, the Spurs are rarely considered a true dynasty because they were never able to repeat. Those who do refer to them as a dynasty have 5 championships over 20 years with the same coach and same main player as their argument.

Are you seriously trying to put the Warriors in the same category as the Spurs? They have 2 titles since 1976. The Spurs have 5 in 20 years.
No, I'm not comparing the two teams. What I'm saying is they've never been able to repeat yet they're regarded as special, consistent, great, or whatever term people want to use. That is the point we're debating here, right?

When is the parade for being the 2016 regular season champs?

Nobody would care about their little accomplishments when they're eliminated on Saturday night

Never...and I don't think I'm alone. Maybe that will learn the league to stop changing the outcome of games via their refs and let the teams play ball.

Sorry. But the refs have been consistent - consistently bad these entire playoffs. But OKC has been putting a foot in the Warriors' ass this series. Bush league to blame the refs when the Warriors were down nearly 50 in game 3 and were outplayed for the entirety of game 4 where they lost by +20 points.

Well I would say the next team that gets close to breaking the record will care....

When the Warriors season come to a close this weekend, do me a favor and ask them if they rather have the regular season win record or repeat as champs?

Wrong...they only mean nothing to fans of teams that haven't been able to do the same.

Ummmmm.....no. We bagged on Lebron for his teams always having the best record but never being able to seal the deal in winning the ship. Same would apply here if they don't even win their own conference. Credit to the Thunder because they look amazing. But if the Warriors lose this series, Kerr, Steph and them boys aren't going to be happy that they broke the regular season record and fell a couple of games short of making it to the Finals. It's the same shit we blast Wiggy for and it applies here. For the Spurs, Thunder, Cavs, and Warriors - it was title or bust. Spurs already had their bust of a season, and the Dubs are on the verge of that happening as well.

No no. I totally agree they've been consistently bad the ENTIRE post season. Not just in the Warriros' series. But we do agree that's why OKC was put in a really good position to win at least 2 games in their series against the Spurs, yes?

The Spurs are considered special/great because they have won a title on average of once every for years for 20 years. The Warriors are averaging a title once every 40 years. That's the difference.

I'm beginning to wonder if Wiggy hacked your account because you're saying some of the exact same things he did last year when the Cavs lost including the "when did they become championship or bust?" line.

No he didn't hack my account. It's clear why Cavs are a title or bust team. But is this not the first time we've heard title or bust for GS? It seems like now since they're losing people are putting 10 on 20.

I can accept if they lose because it happens in sports- it will mean that OKC was the better team. And I've never said they haven't been playing harder/better than the Warriors because to me it has appeared- at least in the last two games- that they want it more right now.

But people on here acting like the Warriors haven't made history this season-saying that the history they've made all season is negated if they don't win the title is just ridiculous. But I've already said this before in a similar debate prior to this series.

8 thoughts I gotta say.

1) Curry was shit, obviously. We can talk about other parts of the game or series, but the bottom line is that Curry shit the bed in just about every way possible or imaginable. Not just tonight, but the whole series basically.

There are 2 possibilities: (1) he is waay more injured that we have been led to believe - like he is in intense pain, has limited mobility, can't move they way he wants, or maybe just can't function when he has had such a long layoff or (2) he isn't who we thought he was - still a great, 1st team all NBA guy ... but not a top 20 all time guy.

If it turns out that it was the former, then our season actually ended on April 24.

2) If we're looking for silver linings, I think we can say at this point that Klay has taken 'the step.'

3) Somewhere along the road, the Warriors became Clippers-lite. Two of our top 5 guys, Iggy and Dray, became flopping, constant ref arguing, honestly pretty annoying players.

And just like CIips/Rox, when you are more worried about the refs, and whining, and inducing calls, you are susceptible to getting taken out of your game when you don't get those calls.

4) Good god, this announcing crew is hard to listen to.

5) Draymond is an amazing player - so versatile, so much energy, so valuable. That said, ee is not a super super star. He can't consistently create his own shot - he is ~B to B+ level at everything ... but A level at nothing. He is *not* one of those guys that could score 25% more points if given 20-30% more takes I don't think. He also has shown that, at least right now in his career, when he can't play the role of the big dick bully, he doesn't really have a 'plan B.'

6) Curry gets the least calls of any 2 time MVP in NBA history. Not just based on this game. He gets grabbed literally every play, he has guys that land under him on 60% of his jump shots, he gets bumped hard on 70% of his drives ... and it almost never gets called. This is contrary to the rest of my post, but if there is anyone that legitimately needs to learn to sell the foul and sell the contact in the whole league, it is Curry.

7) Can we come back? Objectively I would say the odds are 20%. Let's be generous and say game 5 is a 70% chance of win, game 6 is a 50% chance, and game 7 is a 65% chance. That would be 23% chance overall which feels about right.

But all that is actually BS: if Curry is going to play the way he has played for most of the series - either due to injury or for whatever reason - the odds are 0%. If he can be back to being Steph Curry? Who knows - 60-70%? But right now, for whatever reason, the Steph of the last 2 years is gone.

8.Thoughts become things - if Curry can be Curry we can still win this fucking thing.

Regarding 7), I think it would be generous to give the Warriors a 50% chance of winning Game 5. If I'm generous and give them a 50% chance at Game 5, 25% chance at Game 6, and 55% at Game 7, that puts them at about an 7% chance of winning this series.

Regarding 6), it seems that the off the ball stuff rarely gets called. Perhaps the officials just have too many things that they are trying to monitor at the same time. I imagine that it's hard to detect a grab most of the time because the defender isn't doing anything that moves the offensive player.

The Warriors are a long shot, but there's still a shot that they reach the Finals. I'm hoping that you have put the reverse jinx on them. Please, please.

LOL, maybe even a 40% chance at winning Game 5 is too generous based on how the Warriors looked the last two games.
