I actually watched the games lol. I'm not a box score person. Don't go on espn or nba.com to get the full story of the game

He took over in game 2 before those free throws. Personal 8-2 run to give the Clippers the lead. He was good

Game 1 he was great until the 4th. Couldn't buy a bucket

I've watched every minute of this series and George has struggled throughout. Or you gonna disagree with that?

:laugh3:

So you think judging a players performance by his stats is somehow invalid. Classic.

It's a bit below average for a guard. I wouldn't say bad necessarily though

I'm giving George some extra shit because he deserves it. Can't nickname yourself Playoff P then struggle during the most important time of the season. He pulled the same vanishing act last season. And blamed Doc Rivers for how he disappeared.

Everyone shot bad last night. Singling out George is silly. The final score was 84-80 for a reason

Booker been shooting bad since game 1 as well. Chris Paul done nothing as well but yeah let's act like Paul George is the only perimeter player shooting bad

Uh oh, y'all done pissed off PG's white knight. lol

Agree that "playoff P. ain't the only one to blame. But as I've said before, he put himself in the light, so I say let him deal with the consequences...

Exactly. This was his opportunity to step up and put a stop to the Playoff P narrative. He hasn't done that.

Except when they back up your point.
while I don't think PG has been as bad as some have made him out in the series...I do always find it comical when fans ignore actual stats and claim "eye test", "I watch the games", etc...another favorite is when they play the "did you ever play" card.

Agree. I'd also add that, up until this series, PG had played more than well enough to start changing the narrative. This series, not so much.

There are definitely times where the eye test is a better judge than stats and there are some players that add things that don't necessarily show up on the stat sheet. So you actually have to watch them to truly see their impact. But this isn't one of those times and PG isn't one of those players.

Eh..

Not so sure I agree on the last part.

PG is a volume shooter, so he hurts his team there when he is shooting poorly.

But I definitely do think he is one of those players who can have a significant impact beyond the stat sheet because of his defense and because he doesn’t always need the ball in his hands.

You think George was solid the first two games of this series? Well the stats say otherwise.

-game one: 10-26 from the field (he did shoot it good from downtown though, 7-15) but overall 10-26 is bad

-game two: 10-23 (1-8 from downtown)

So in the first two games he shot a combined 20-49 from the field. That's good for 40.8%. And 8-23 (.348) from downtown.

Post 468

"He hasnt even shot 40% in a game yet)

You go on to provide a 2 game average of 40.8%.

This right here is the issue with George debate. Yes, he brought it on himself. But, the ones who continual to pile onto him are some combination of obsessively biased/dont watch the game and box score hunt/or flat out don't know the game.

?????????

You make it sound like PGs game is volume shooting.

In game 3 when he shot horrendously. He had 15 boards. 7 dimes. Played great D and was like +23. So yeah, I'd say hes definitely one of those players where the eye test works. Or shit, just looking at every stat. He did have an ass load of TO's in the second half though.

Nah I just think there is more to basketball than scoring. The box score tells you very little about defense for example

George was solid on offense in the first 2 games. The last 2 games been a different story but in G3 he did do other things to help his team....Last night not so much

So to get it straight you want him to never miss a free throw now?

He's been really good in the playoffs. Even in this series he was solid the first 2 games then the series shifted to LA and all the top perimeter players forgot to shoot for some reason.
Dude, you have to be paul georges account. Hey playoff P, you stank again.

My bad mentioning game two, obviously he did shoot over 40%. But the other three games he's failed to hit 40% of his shots. If you choose to believe I haven't watched any of this series that's on you. Because you're incorrect. Here are his numbers. His shooting has been bad this series.

game one: 10-26 (.385)

game two: 10-23 (.434)

game three: 9-26 (.346)

game four: 5-20 (.250)

The only part of his game I've ridiculed in this series is his shooting. Nothing else.

Like I said yesterday, 3 of the last 4 have been bad.
