I agree there should have been more time.

But .3 is not lob only.

And throwing a lob to Gobert is like 0% success probability

That was the worse idea thy had was lobbing to
Him. Hes one of the absolute worst offensive players I’ve seen.

Just saw the 2 minute report. It says since the clock did not reach 0 instant replay could not be triggered. It says the officials had a conference and reset the clock to 0.3. To me this says ok we really don’t know so we will give them enough for a catch and shoot.

You realize the clock stops on the referees whistle without a review right? Actually they were gifted enough for a catch and shoot due to all the confusion. I don’t have a problem with it.

Yes .5 or .6, but a clock review could not be done legally in that instance. Can you imagine in the course of a game home many seconds are lost or gained over little stuff?

The Trent Tucker rule states that a player can’t catch and shoot with LESS than .3 seconds on the clock.

Meaning it is possible with .3 or more.

This has been studied.

In all seriousness I would love to know how they went from saying .4 had to be on the clock to get a shot off to randomly changing it to .3 a few seasons ago

It has been .3 as long as I can remember
