Society is crumbling apparently. Damn millenialsWaaahhh!!! A young athlete with millions on the line doesn’t want to play in a meaningless exhibition game for my amusement. Whaaaa!!!
Ur tossing out bs and whining bro, not us
I agree. And I have no problem with coaches treating these bowl games as experiments for next year either. Most likely, yes. That's why he needs to get to work early rather than worry about beating a mid-range P5 team like Syracuse and risk his checking account for no reason.
He's skipping NYC tonight too.
Need the cliff notes version of this broseph.I read a good argument thread on this a while back. It was a very interesting and thoughtful from a different view.
College FB players play anywhere from 2 to 5 years, depending on the player. Only a handful of the thousands of players will actually make it to the NFL and make any money. A vast majority of players make the league minimum or just above the league min. Many players who go pro dont even play for that long, 2-5 years at most, only the select few actually have a long career in the NFL and make a damn good chunk of change doing it.
College players play to move up in their careers, and some do it just for the game. They are not paid to do it but they do get to enjoy the spoils of a fee education in which a majority dont even take advantage of. But then again most are not there to get an education, they are looking for that big money career in the pros and most shoot themselves in the foot for taking basket weaving 101 and end up with nothing once they finish their college days. They end up with jobs at jiffy lube or McDs and such. Some end up with a nice career if they actually came out with a degree that means anything.
These are young men who play the game not only because they love the game but to try and get somewhere in life playing a game they love. WTF do they owe you. Why should they do as we the fans want. Its their lively hood and their careers, not ours. Its just a game we love and enjoy. But who are we to demand anything from these kids. No fan has the right to demand anything from a college player as this is not a professional job, its not a business. (NCAA is a business but they dont pay its employees.) If a young and upcoming player wants to skip a game to work on being better at his up and coming profession then i say good for him and wish them the best. And every fan should say the same. They (the players) dont owe you (the fan) a damned thing.
Dudes still tweaking
So when a coach decides to play the freshman in a bowl game to get a jump start in next year, and sit the senior qb who started all year, that’s ok though rightThey should play tennis or golf or any sport that is considered an individual undertaking and leave TEAM sports to people that want to be part of a TEAM
Yes I mean this dudes still here watching this thread tossing out bs and thumbs down for hours now, quit responding though. Some really sensitive Sally’s . They won’t last hereI’ve noticed a few noobs really tweaked. They get mad when I ask if they paid for rivals. Lol
We need a possible meltdown noob/rivals thread.

Racist award, will not watchHe's skipping NYC tonight too.
Bingo. On any given play these kids can lose everything. Am I happy when a kid decides to sit out? Hell no, I am ticked because I want to win. If it were my kid, what would I tell them to do? Go pro and make your money. Eliminate the risk of one play ruining your career.
No he couldn't, he has inquired with the pros and he is a lock to be drafted high. He has done all he can at this level, time to move forward. He could improve his draft stock with a really good game......a little surprised at this......
