90% of the names I ve herd are either a step back or equal to what we have. Dam few would have impressed me as a step ahead. Noone will convince me that a young coach at a mid major program would be able to do much here.
Keep in mind Bo inherited offensive players that were recruited to fit into a pro-style west coast offense. Believe it or not that even applies to offensive linemen. He's had 6 full years to get that turned over.
He also inherited some real good defensive players.
That being said, I wouldn't want Golden either. He should be able to build a consistent top 10 program with the talent in South Florida alone.
Kirby Smart? Yeah let's wish for an experienced John Papuchis. That is all Smart is. A DC in name but we all know who the guy is that is in charge of the D for both Nebraska and Alabama.

You got to be kidding me, comparing Kirby Smart to Poochie? Yeah Saban is hands on but Smart gets the reigns.
I could except an argument that he hasn't been tested being under Saban. Saban has guaranteed him the best prospects in the nation but to compare him to Papoochis? Damn Jed, I know you can be a prick but don't be a stupid prick.
Besides Smart's not going anywhere. If Dave Hart couldn't get him up to Tennessee he is just going to wait for Saban to die and take over the throne there.
John Papoochis
