This is the year gents, if we dont lose key elements of our team to injury in 2014 we will win the B1G and be in contention for the natty . There would be little in the way of excuses that would be acceptable with the talent we have coming in and with what returns.

I can realistically see us dominating the conference next year and really anything less will be a letdown for me personally.

I sure hope you're right here, but I see at least 4 to 5 losses next season not including a bowl game. I wouldn't be surprised if those losses weren't all double digit losses either, because that seems to be the trend with Mad Dog.

I think our offensive game plan along with the special teams is what is killing us. I don't think Beck knows how to handle the talent he has. I think he wants to be a up tempo Oregon offense but doesn't know how to execute. The special teams kills both our O&D.

Bama has 49 coaches on there staff and pays them damn good. Now if the boosters want those results they and Bo are going to have to get on the same page. Bo wants 100% of the credit/responsibility/blame. Its to much for any man to handle he needs to let go and realize. A great staff will make him look great. So he needs to give up some responsibility. Now he wants to make it so reporters can't talk to any staff members reporters can only talk to Bo.... Giving a one voice bullshit kinda deal.

More and more I think I want sweater vest

Yes Tressel would be a HUGE upgrade over Mad Dog.

I've been sayin that since 2010 en sech....

I'm gonna hold back on saying it this time around. Someone will have to step up at QB and take care of the ball. If the turnovers continue at the QB position we will simply repeat what we've already seen. Cure that turnover problem and suddenly we have a different story.

If this miracle of epic proportions happens in Lincoln next year, I'll call him Bo again.

Doesn't matter what we call him preseason. Let's wait til he plays a few games and it will still be Blowout Bo.

I was completely for. He did a good job here and at LSU as a dc. He appeared like he would be a grand slam.

That was 2008. Don't really see what that has to do with 2013. If I think he would make a good HC in 2008 I have to think that the rest my life?

I don't know that there is an absolute there. I was for getting HWSNBN and Coz out of here. That is the only absolute.

My expectations for the next coach were to fix the defense first and put the pieces together to get Nebraska back to being a top tier team (#1-7) most of the time and an occasional 2nd tier team (#8-15).

I supported Bo as the chosen one his first 4 years, began becoming skeptic at the beginning of last season, and lost what remaining faith I had after the blowout loss to Wisky in the CCG. The patterns were becoming solid. He needed to make meaningful changes in the last off season.

It's pretty simple really. Bo is not an elite level coach. He's incapable of putting all of the pieces together to be a fine tuned product. His teams are generally not prepared coming out of the locker room for a big game. In the rare chance that they are, they inevitably find a way to beat themselves.
Win or lose this bowl and I'll remain skeptic of "the process" going into year 7.

The reason I'll remain skeptic even if Nebraska wins is because Georgia is on the 8/9 win threshold. Bo's record against AQ 9 win teams is atrocious.
His record against AQ 8 win teams is good. However Bo broke that somewhat this year in that he's (0-2) vs AQ 8 win teams this year. Michigan could have changed that, but got their shit pushed in by K. St in the BWW bowl.
So if NU beats Georgia, he's just beating another 8 win AQ team like he's done his first 5 years. If NU loses it adds to his atrocious record vs 9 win AQ teams.

In my mind he can't win if he wins. LOL. Fuck you Bo. How do you like me now?

No not at all. I was just wondering if you have always been against him or if you have grown to disaprove. Doesn't matter either way.

Who would you like to see replace him. Or would you like to keep him and have more success

I see four blowouts or maybe even five in 2014... Miami, Michigan State, Northwestern, Wiscy, and Iowa. Fresno State a close loss.

A five or six loss season is looming in 2014, unless changes are made.

Bo will make big improvements in 2014, ccg and possible natty.

If we continue on the wishy wash cycle like this year I would guess changes will be made in wholesale fashion.

Much can happen between now and then but like HISL said earlier, 2008 had nothing to do with 2013, nor will 2013 have anything to do with 14. New bed with clean sheets. GO BIG RED

Kirby Smart? Yeah let's wish for an experienced John Papuchis. That is all Smart is. A DC in name but we all know who the guy is that is in charge of the D for both Nebraska and Alabama.

I just don't really see what Al Golden has done that has been so impressive.

I remember him having a good year at Temple......it was that one good year that got him the job at Miami.

In the last 2 seasons at Miami he has allowed over 30 points scored on his team in 13 out of 22 games vs. FBS teams. He also has a combined record of 22-15 at Miami after 3 seasons and much like Bo he gets his shit kicked in by any team with a pulse, and beats the little guys.

And what he inherited at Miami was not THAT bad. He had a plethora of talent to work with in his first 3 seasons. Remember what Bo inherited? It wasn't a good situation here either. I understand the sanctions and all that....but those sanctions have not even affected that team yet.

I would seriously never trade Bo for Al Golden. You gotta get me someone who has done better than 49-49 as a Head Coach.
