He'd fit in perfectly with your team. :thumb:

My team is nothing but class :thumb:

Being able to play but an asshole is better than not being able to play and a pussy no matter how you slice it.

Incognito has gone on an absolute tear this afternoon on Twitter. Incredibly ironic how he's retweeting pure ignorance, racism and hatred from people who are angry about his pure ignorance, racism and hatred.

I would not touch either of these guys at this point. Dolphins should remove themeselves from ever talking about them again.

1) Ritchie is and always has been a pos. Trouble everywhere he has been. It is a distraction from a veteran who cannot be rehabilitated. Point being - He is NOT worth it.

2) Martin obviously cannot handle the stress of the NFL. Also, he has not even shown he can be a top player for the OT position. Definitely NOT worth it.

Report just confirmed what I thought, that Incognito is a neanderthal meathead whose abhorrent behavior has been rewarded all his life because he plays football. He's had past instances of being a piece of shit and its no secret that he's one of the dirtiest players on the field too. It would be very fitting if his behavior finally caught up to him and cost him the ability to play in the NFL.

As for Martin, I've leaned that he handled things the wrong way but I'm not all that sure now. It's easy to say stuff like "he should have stood up, etc" but the mind is a tricky thing. You can trap yourself so far in it that you physically can't make yourself do what you know that needs to be done. I also think its unfair to say Martin can't play in the NFL. With treatment, there's nothing saying he can't. Whether or not his teammates accept him is a different story. But that's forgiving they are

Its weird that its "Incognito and two other players" from most media outlets. I suppose they couldn't find the other two names in the report.

I have mixed emotions on this entire episode. NFL athletes are basically successful based on their physical attributes (size, power, speed, etc), but attitude (mentally toughness and intimidation) are also big factors. They are basically trained to exploit weaker opponents for the sake of ego, establish themselves as the more dominate figure, and of course win the game. It is how these guys basically grew up. Most were the BMOC through high school and college, held in high status.
But as you go up the ladder it gets tougher and tougher to maintain that status especially if you are not the biggest or fastest anymore. Seems most that truly excel do so by exerting their will on others. Sort of the natural order of thing where the strong survive and the weak disappear.
Anyway, not to justify either but for me it is easy to see both sides of the fence here. One pushing the other around because he is weaker - perhaps in an effort to toughen him up or maybe push him out so someone tougher can take his place. The other feeling trapped based upon a less dominating nature enduring a worsening situation.
Perhaps I didn't see it but no where have I seen that Martin simply said stop using this word or that, leave my sister out of this, or something to that affect. If the men were truly 'friends' and teammates as both have stated that should have resolved the problem. If not, then it needed to be clearly brought to the attention of management as well as outside legal assistance.

Grown men can't be bullied. There is no fixing martin.

Is incognito worth it? Maybe, maybe not, but an asshole who can play is better than a pussy who can't. He has a better shot than Martin.

I absolutely hate the media absolutely has to trash Incognito & defend this little bitch Martin. Incognito was / is a macho, no-manners asshole, and Martin got frustrated about how badly he sucks & contemplated suicide & decided to cry to mommy (literally) about all the stuff Incognito said behind closed doors.

Martin wasn't bullied. He hung out with these guys on his own time & texted back & forth. If you're so intimidated & harassed by someone you don't go hang out with 'em after work.

I find it disgusting that Incognito gets crucified by the media for saying bad words while people who commit actual crimes are easily dismissed, and they circle the wagons. What's worse? Calling a guy a n!%%$r in private or driving drunk with the possibility of killing someone?

It's a fact. Be a fucking man.

Or at the very least tell someone in the organization you're having a problem. The guy disappeared & checked himself into a loomey bin.

But of course Incognito being an asshole was the real problem. Not this nut job.

I'm not saying incognito is a good guy. But shit, I was bullied as a kid and figured out quickly enough how to deal with it (and think that most bullying should be left to the kids to handle. it seriously does make you stronger). It's not hard.

A grown man that lets himself be "bullied" needs to be. Repeatedly. Until something finally clicks and he figures out that he's not a little kid.

:agree: 100%. Incognito is trash but come on Martin, this ain't 6th grade. It's the MF'n NFL. If you can't sack up and handle a guy like Incognito's "verbal harassment" what good are you going to be on the field ?

Martin's texts to his mother confirm two things I suspected at him:

1. He has been clinically depressed for most of his life, but has been in environments which prevented him from properly identifying it and seeking proper help for it. He talks about how he "shouldn't feel this way" and mentions that he's lost inside himself, trying to apply rational thinking to a wholly irrational mental condition. If he gets actual, professional help, proper psychological treatment, he can deal with his depression and be successful in the NFL. There are at least a few very successful athletes with depression who have been able to overcome it in their sports with proper help.

2. His responses to his teammates' bullying were, as I though, a deeply ingrained effort to stop the bullying by playing along, hoping becoming "friends" with his bullies would end it. It's a typical behavior of people who get bullied, and it usually does make the problem worse. Eventually it leads to a steadily worsening cycle.

Hopefully, with this report, professional sport locker rooms can adjust accordingly, and perhaps players battling depression can find the courage to get professional help.

There is no reason for any locker room to change. He just didn't belong.

People who are that big of pussies shouldn't be allowed to talk to their mothers. Ever. Until they grow a pair.

Why? How is that an acceptable way of thinking? Shouldn't people be allowed to feel comfortable in their work environments? And everywhere else?

I mean, why can't the bullies just, I don't know, not bully? Wouldn't that be ultimately more productive?
