Wow. I now completely understand this Big 10 bullshit.

I thought it was odd that Madison Police would activate their special events unit (70 cops) to patrol the area for gameday. This is 70 cops that aren't normally working. They thought since they heard so many Husker fans were coming to Madison that they would destroy the town. It's because it's what they think the Big 10 does. As 'Smart' pointed out; he's been to all the other Big 10 stadiums and they all treat each other like assholes so Madison Police thought Husker Fan would act in the same immature way but with 40,000 strong. They couldn't have been more wrong.

On the contrary; Lincoln police have lowered the number of officers on duty during gameday because of the attitudes of the fans and the low amount of problems that are created.

I read how 20 Wisconsin fans were arrested, 24 cited, and 29 ejected at the South Dakota game. Offenses including underage drinking, possession of alcohol and resisting or obstructing police - against South Dakota? Really?

Those numbers are outrageous comparred to a Lincoln game in which very few, if at all, are arrested. A few are usually ejected and a few end up in detox.

But then gander at the Nebraska vs. Wisconsin stats.... 36 arrested, 40 cited, 77 ejected - the majority of them Wisonsin students.

Your fan base has serious problems. Smart and Company are either participating or turning a blind eye to the fine art of being complete and utter asshole. If something like this happens in Lincoln; you will most likely be kicked out of school, suspended, or be banned from the stadium. You call an opposing fan an 'asshole' and continue to do it in their ear; you will be arrested. Yeah, us Nebraskans are Dudley Do Right because we treat people with respect. I'm not going to appologize for that. It's something your pathetic fan base has yet to learn.

Yes they did. I just got off the phone with my friend who was in the stands at one of the endzones. He was with his brother and his 10 year old nephew and the 50 year old plus guy across the aisle walked over and continually called him 'asshole' until he got the whole section fired up yelling and pointing and yelling 'asshole'.

I saw your players walk over to our student section before the game and tell me that they were going to beat us. That was truly unprecedented in the 20+ games i've seen at Camp Randall. I selectively went through a replay of the game and heard your defensive tackle shouting fuck on national TV. I heard Nebraska fans IN OUR STUDENT SECTION shouting "Fuck You" to Section O.

Nobody believes that you really felt threatened by our student section when we were calling you assholes in jest. Nobody believes that you were appalled when we said "Eat Shit, Fuck You" to other sections.

You can call our students douchebags, but we aren't the ones who are prentending to be saints while writing from the comfort of our homes that we are better than you. You say that the fact that you swear on the internet is okay, and nothing like jestfully talking to each other. If that is what being respectful means in Loncoln, then I am glad I go to UW-Madison and not UNL.
