Sounds like you’re watching the riots that occurred in LA after those police officers got off for beating Rodney King received. You need to fast forward about 28 years or so. That was the final spark that ignited a smoldering powder keg. It doesn’t excuse the beating Reginald Denny received and those guys involved all went on trail. Fortunately there were others, who were Black, took him to the hospital. So as you said, as I, you have good and bad in everything.

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report.

“We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk,” Cullors added in the interview with Jared Ball of The Real News

Cullors, 36, was the protégé of Eric Mann, former agitator of the Weather Underground domestic terror organization, and spent years absorbing the Marxist-Leninist ideology that shaped her worldview, Breitbart News reported.

This Was reported from Breibart, not sure if it is true or not, there is so much fake stuff left and right that I don't pay to much attention to stuff.


While promoting her book “When They Call You a Terrorist: A Black Lives Matter Memoir” in 2018, Cullors described her introduction to and support for Marxist ideology.

She described to Democracy Now! how she became a trained organizer with the Labor/Community Strategy Center, which she called her “first political home” under the mentorship of Mann, its director, Breitbart reported.

The center, which describes its philosophy as “an urban experiment,” uses grassroots organization to “focus on Black and Latino communities with deep historical ties to the long history of anti-colonial, anti-imperialist, pro-communist resistance to the US empire,” according to the outlet.

It also expresses its appreciation for the work of the US Communist Party, “especially Black communists,” as well as its support for “the great work of the Black Panther Party, the American Indian Movement, Young Lords, Brown Berets, and the great revolutionary rainbow experiments of the 1970s,” Breitbart reported.


The following part I know is true, if it has to do with her or not I don't know, nor am I interested in doing the research to find out.

In 1968, Mann was a coordinator for Students for a Democratic Society, from which a more radical wing –- the Weather Underground — was splintered the following year.

It was led by Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, who called for “direct action” over civil disobedience, seeking the overthrow of the US government. In 1969, the FBI classified the group as a domestic terror organization.

I don't understand the fuss that went on about Michael Brown, it has been proven his friend lied and made up the whole hands up don't shoot bullshit that went on. Michael Brown was a thug that beat up an elderly minority shop owner to steal from him while he was high on drugs, he then attacked and beat a police officer and tried to steal his gun, he got put down in the process of these things. I have no compassion for him, while I do feel sorry for his mother.

Some of these shootings by police are entirely unjustified, some can be avoided by following the laws. When you fight and flee with a police officer no good is going to come from it, for either side.


All I can say is I'm glad I'm not a young Black man in this world. I don't have to worry about some of the things they do.

It is not true or maybe not true in some areas...Defunding in this instance is a convoluted term that you could juxtaposition the same definition as a bankruptcy/ corporate reorganization plan... it is also used in some instances to break a Union... Other than a Militia in the Mountains of Montana there is no one advocating for less police...just better trained police...

Like this guy shot 7 times... I don't care what kind of scumbag he maybe in real life...we all have issues ....for a cop to say he was going for a knife...and gets shot not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not 5 times, not 6 times...but 7 TIMES in the BACK...sure doesn't sound like a cop in defense mode or using his weapon to subdue ..does it?...

Cops have tough jobs...I respect the hell out of them...I know the violent crimes that get committed in Washington DC and Baltimore all the time...but you never see a more advanced train Police Officer ever show up in these videos using poor technique or unloading a weapon...seriously have you ever watched a video of a SWAT officer doing some of this stuff?

I don't agree with the BLM movement and its views, however, the motivation for the movement is shared by many, including members of our football team. A helmet sticker acknowledges this with the support of the administration. This is a relatively quiet way for students to share solidarity and raise awareness for something that still remains an issue for many.

With that said, I am against using sports as a tool for social justice or change. If players want to speak out, let them use the interview room and make their statements as a member of society and not as a sports star. Sports are an escape for people and entertainment. Divisiveness should be because of the opponent and not because of social or political issues.

When I don my Gold and Blue and travel to Morgantown, I am not a republican or democrat, I am not black, white or brown, I AM A MOUNTAINEER!

I have to ask... why would anyone feel threatened by the leaders of BLM admitting they studied Marxism and accept this ideology? I’m no expert on Marxism, but there were a lot of solid points the man made late in the 19th century.

Again... I’m an old white guy, but I could see how blacks in America could look to this philosophy and promote it here. I’d say the same for white women. There is a known glass ceiling for minorities in our country. We know that women and minorities often make less money than their white male peers.

Anytime you can throw in Marxism, Communism, Socialism and tie it to someone or a group, then that is all that is needed. Marxism, as far as I understand, is revolting against Capitalism and making a classless society. This way the people have more control and reap the benefits of their labor. So any thought of revolting against Capitalism sparks a view of an attack against the US.

A lot of this rose it's head again in the 60's, during the Vietnam War and the Civil Rights movement. The FBI classified many groups as terrorists or Communist. Hoover had everyone of these groups infiltrated. Nixon was a big proponent of having this done and became the law and order. So any low hanging fruit, like a co-founder of BLM who studied Marxism is automatically a terrorist who is ready to overthrow the country.

At the end of the day when you are done with your fill of entertainment from that athlete (college, pro, high school), when the gear comes off, that Black athlete now becomes another Black person who faces the same items as other Blacks. To silence any voice is wrong. I don't agree with everything but then it is incumbent of me to research the facts and attempt to understand. If I don't, I become part of the herd mentality.

The young kids in this country, and almost across the world, challenge things they don't believe in. They challenge having to work 60-80 hours work weeks and our generation calls them lazy while wishing we could take time off. When my kids were young, I told them if they had a point, they could make it and I would allow them to defend it as long as it was a meaningful conversation/discussion/debate. At first, I regretted it. Today, I regret it for a whole different reason. I started loosing some of these discussions and couldn't use because 'I said so' or 'Because'. They are all independent thinkers and can hold a conversation. I still want to choke out my youngest (24 year old) and his brother (31 year old), but I'm proud that they will challenge things they don't understand or believe.

'Rise of a Nation', MLK = the new Black Messiah who will cause Blacks to rise and overthrow the country; Black Panthers & BLM= a terrorist groups who will overthrow the Government; Farrakhan & Malcolm X = radicals who promote violence. Native American Indians = can't even come close to knowing how they feel. The list goes on. I would expect that if anyone is truly a Christian, they would take their "teachings" more serious. I don't claim to be a Christian. Being raised Catholic in the midst of the Priest scandals has me questioning a lot about Religion. Right now, I think I can hold my own conversations with God.

I think about things like this all the time...that we as a society are in the year 2020....and haven't ever moved the needle really on Social Injustice...or taking the time to understand things from others perspective...only from the point of view of how it effects that person!.... Just as you can express yourself and belief, as you did; I appreciate the fact that GR, and others, have expressed theirs. Until we step out of our “norm”, we will not be able see the viewpoints of others, let alone attempt to educate ourselves. GR is at that age, as am I, where you are not going to change his mind too much. Holding truthful conversations will only allow for the changing of bias and open minds. Absolutely! I have a great number of friends who are former college and NFL players. One, who I will not name by name, is perhaps the best man I have ever known. He is from Florida, and returns there often. I have heard him talk about how bad things are in the south Florida area. Sports is a way to escape the crime. I have also talked to him about racial relations with the police. It takes two to make things go right. This man NEVER loses his cool. Yet he has experienced injustice from a bad cop.

I heard a comedian compare cops to airline pilots. He said, "Our pilots are pretty good. They only crash occasionally." Point taken. Pilots should never crash. Just like cops should never melt down. We have to do better there.
