Old Lion, I see you have two team logos for your Avatar. Are you a bandwagon Pats fan in addition to being a Lions fan?

It is if you grossly overpay. Lucky for you he has not dropped off so far although he had a slow first half of last season.
It's OK to pay a little extra if the player is in his prime which Suh is and you have to remember they didn't have to spend a draft pick or trade a roster player so that has to be factored in as well. He improves the team no doubt about it.

Your defense is still a bottom feeder. Ranked last so far this year and was in the bottom 5 last year.
This is not all on Suh he's actually grading out highly the fact is that their LB's and secondary are questionable. New scheme takes time as well.

I wouldnt say bandwagon so much. I live 25 minutes from the stadium. I am a Lions fan only because they were on TV every year and I liked the uniforms when I was a toddler. I also let my friends be the local teams when we played so they would be OK when I whooped them in whatever sport we were playing.

Agree with both of these. I will be more sensitive than most because he not only left the Lions but went to a division opponent of the Pats.

Completely understandable. It sucks to lose any player in their prime. Unfortunately if a player wants to leave he will especially when the money or even tax situation is better. Teams need to take care of their players or risk losing them. Happens everywhere....

Tough game on a short week. But, lets be real, this isn't a first for either of these two teams or many of the players on it.

Yes, we are banged up, but so are they and the rest of the teams around the league.

Point being, a lot of this game, as any sport, is mental -- it seems to me like many have this game pegged as a loss for the Fins without having taken the field. Might as well NOT take the field if we are going to go in with that mentality and all these excuses.

As I say every week, the biggest thing for the Fins will be to set a tone no matter if they start the game on offense or defense. If its on offense, score a TD -- on Defense, quick 3 and out.

Gase and the offensive coaching staff will have to do a better job of establishing the run early and sticking with it rather than get too pass-happy. Doesn't matter who starts the position -- get the TEs involved in the passing game.

Continue calling those quick crossing/slant routes that worked so well last game.

On defense, attack and tackle. Get off the field on third down. We have given up too many conversions already.

Special teams has been decent and it must continue.

Miami Dolphins inactives: LT Branden Albert, C Mike Pouncey, C Anthony Steen, RB Arian Foster, LB Koa Misi, LB Jelani Jenkins, TE Jordan Cameron.

And several lineup changes due to this. IMO, the hope is these lineup changes, regardless of reasons they are made -- they hopefully work out and change fortunes for us. BUT given that execution has been our biggest problem more so than personnel -- I don't expect much of a difference out there.

Like I said, we have to be the tone-setters if we want this win.

I hope that having Tunsil backing up Albert won't mess up the oline. You now have a new LT, LG and center! Every year same thing may have to move on from those injured guys.

Start the game by giving them yards with penalty, of course

Good point by broadcaster -- Vance Joseph, former Bengals coach -- and can't figure out a way to stop these guys yet

Once again, absolutely no pressure brought on by the defense

Held them to a FG... But again , let them move the ball down field way too easily. Then we commit another penalty during the FG attempt. Genius

And thats how you respond. Great approach to spread that defense out and attack. Perfect. Now the defense has to settle in

Good stop after taking back the lead. Easily the best defensive stand of the season thus far, IMO.

Cant blame Howard for allowing that catch. He did what he could. The lack of a rush contributed there

AJ Green had his way with our defense there.

Great play calling and execution on the Fins first drive 7-3 Fins. Good to see Stills with the big catch from THill. Matt Darr could be the best punter in the NFL. He flipped the field position with his punt.

Lippett has to work on his tackling. 10-7 Bengals. X Howard has his hands full trying to cover AJ Green. I think he needs safety help.

Better stop here. Nice play by Lippett. Now the offense must respond

Terrible, conservative play call there on the third down at midfield. Just horrible way to stop YOURSELF.

A comment on our RB situation -- I know it makes it hard for any one guy to get momentum, but I like this rotating of the RBs every series. Its up to THEM to make the coaches stick to one of them.
