Maybe… just maybe we’ll see Claypool make some contested catches todayI hope so. Him and Chase need to step it up big time.

That GIF^^. It is amazing how much that on GIF sums up my feelings for Rudolph. You get happy when you know he does something good, knowing all to well it was an aberration. Then the next play reality sets in.
Yep, it's been the pattern recently.
I feel bad for him. He still has the arm to be an effective QB even if its diminished. His mobility has been a huge concern though. I still have faith that he can turn things around this season. But man he was making some terrible reads all morning yesterday. What happened to his veteran savvy to read plays from beginning to end? His mental processing was a mess yesterday. He wasn't that bad against Buffalo & LV, was he? I don't recall being this concerned over his head-game so I'm leaning on giving him the benefit of the doubt. He is usually good for 2-3 bad games every year. But behind this OL I have serious doubts that he can salvage his season.Yep, it's been the pattern recently.
The question is: Is this the scheme, or is ben avoiding making throws to players over the middle.
I think it's Ben. It's looking like he's cooked.
Well, like in your next post. That kind of performance from the rest of the guys around him will have him seeing ghosts.I feel bad for him. Agreed. The entire offense is a mess. But the one thing that drives me crazy about this offense is how it rarely ever uses combo route concepts. If receivers aren't winning 1 on 1 matchups then they need to implement that more. They run trip/bunch sets a lot and yet those routes don't support one another. They need to run more rub and hi-lo stacked routes. The majority of the 'support' that you see from those bunch sets is just WR bubble screens, which is rarely effective in the NFL anymore. Especially when a defense isn't afraid of your deep game.Well, like in your next post. That kind of performance from the rest of the guys around him will have him seeing ghosts.
The OL is putrid, and we knew it would be. The depleted WR core didn't help things either.
But still the passing pattern is the same from the first two games, and from last season.
He's passing really short, and he's passing outside occasionally. It's removing dimensions from the game, and makes it easier for defenses to cover.
