Well doesn't look like much has changed for the offense. Outside of 1 drive where it looked like Ben went no-huddle they ahve been dogshit. And even when the OL manages to hold up Ben holds the ball too long and nobody is getting open. This offense sucks.

And to make matters worse the D has been pretty bad today. No pass rush and the middle of the field has been very vulnerable.

^^. It is amazing how much that on GIF sums up my feelings for Rudolph. You get happy when you know he does something good, knowing all to well it was an aberration. Then the next play reality sets in.
That GIF
Channel 5 First Day Of School GIF by KTLA 5 News
sums up Bens play also.

Ben looked atrocious today… Numerous errant throws, holding the ball too long and making terrible reads.

Oh and what would a bad offensive day be without a slew of drops. 4 drops from Najee and 2 from Ebron.

I’ll reiterate… this offense is ass

Yep, it's been the pattern recently.

The question is: Is this the scheme, or is ben avoiding making throws to players over the middle.

I think it's Ben. It's looking like he's cooked.

I feel bad for him. He still has the arm to be an effective QB even if its diminished. His mobility has been a huge concern though. I still have faith that he can turn things around this season. But man he was making some terrible reads all morning yesterday. What happened to his veteran savvy to read plays from beginning to end? His mental processing was a mess yesterday. He wasn't that bad against Buffalo & LV, was he? I don't recall being this concerned over his head-game so I'm leaning on giving him the benefit of the doubt. He is usually good for 2-3 bad games every year. But behind this OL I have serious doubts that he can salvage his season.

Well, like in your next post. That kind of performance from the rest of the guys around him will have him seeing ghosts.

The OL is putrid, and we knew it would be. The depleted WR core didn't help things either.

But still the passing pattern is the same from the first two games, and from last season.

He's passing really short, and he's passing outside occasionally. It's removing dimensions from the game, and makes it easier for defenses to cover.

Agreed. The entire offense is a mess. But the one thing that drives me crazy about this offense is how it rarely ever uses combo route concepts. If receivers aren't winning 1 on 1 matchups then they need to implement that more. They run trip/bunch sets a lot and yet those routes don't support one another. They need to run more rub and hi-lo stacked routes. The majority of the 'support' that you see from those bunch sets is just WR bubble screens, which is rarely effective in the NFL anymore. Especially when a defense isn't afraid of your deep game.

Another thing... If Ben's arm can't hit the out-routes as well as he used to then why not attack the middle of the field more? It's a shorter throw and if they run the route concepts more effectively then the single-high safety could be eliminated. Stretch Freiermuth or Juju over the middle then run a staggered fade from the outside receiver over the center. That's the stacking I'm referring to. Safety has to bite on 1 of them leaving the other in a 1 on 1. I know the downfield offense suffers because Ben doesn't give it enough time to develop with his shitty OL not protecting well enough... So I don't really have an answer lol.

Haley was sometimes retarded, but his offenses produced. And they used those groupings and routes that you mention.

But Ben and Todd couldn't get along.

I feel bad for JuJu. These last two years have been a waste of his talents. Any half-competent RB can do the shit they are asking him to do.

It's about time to put Ben down with a 'lingering injury' just to get it over with.
