I considered moving Texas lower, and I'm sure they'll get there, but they just haven't played quite badly enough yet IMO. Arkansas I took into consideration they did lose their starting qb.

Yea go, but Michigan struggled with Air Force. They might be in for a rude awakening come Big 10 play, and this is coming from a guy who thought they would win the Big 10.

Michigan didn't just lose to #1 Bama. They were thoroughly destroyed and exposed as a fraud and looked weak against air force. Not even top 25 as of now.

For the most part, people's polls look pretty good. Not a whole lot of ridiculous placings IMO.

What would it take? They return virtually the entire offense from an elite unit, and they have arguably the best defensive coach in America. What more do you need?

The unfortunate thing about TCU is that we're gonna have to hear this shit for about 7 more weeks.

They played a ridiculously horrible schedule last year, losing to both Baylor and Southern Methodist, giving up 40, and 50 points in both those games. So much for the grand defense. However, they did shut out New Mexico and hold Louisiana Tech to 24 points, so they have that going for them.

Now this season, first year in the big boy conference, and what does their schedule look like?...

Grambling st.
Kansas
Virginia
Southern Methodist(lost to this powerhouse last year, better watch out for this one..)
Iowa st.
Baylor
Texas Tech
Oklahoma st.(just got blown out by Pac 12 powerhouse Arizona)

Before finally getting to play West Virginia and Kansas st. It's not until here will we really see what TCU is....unless of course they can't manage run that gauntlet of games I listed above.

I've been worrying about this for a few weeks. It really sounds like Markuson took over one of the best coached units in the country and changed their technique, changed their communication.... Our starting center said something like, "The old way...every guy had a certain job and you did your job..."

I mean our senior LT on that line is projected 1st or 2nd round. Our junior center is going to be a pro. Our left guard has shown the potential to be one of our most dominant run blockers and filled in just fine last year. Our right side looked to be an issue but NOBODY was getting a push.

This guy had to be fired.

This guy is in his first year. The OL coach for the last 4 seasons, Bob Bostad, is now coaching in the NFL.

That same guy was our TE coach and "run game coordinator," if that tells you anything.
