Because I like him better. No, you are correct on that, but Fangio is a defensive genius (more than Joseph) and I think he has more respect from Elway and the players.

Judging by his 4 losses in the final 30 seconds of game I have to disagree. I think Joseph gotta bad wrap in Denver. Yet Fangio gets a free pass for not being able to close games out.

Laughing at Fangio being a defensive genius - is odd behavior - his status as a defensive coach is generally acknowledgment around the league. But - have at it!

But Fangio was also able to get guys like Shurmur and Ed Donatell to round out his coaching staff. He is well respected by his peers

A legit question for Broncos fans out there. And don't get upset over it. Going back to last year the Boncos have now lost 4 games in the final 30 seconds.

Vance Joseph was blasted for his coaching abilities. Now my question. Why isn't Fangio getting blasted for not being able to close out games? Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

IMO Joseph was set up to fail here but that is another subject.

My biggest concern with Fangio and I have stated this here is his inability to virtually not win any of the close games. I hate how we find ways to lose under Fangio despite playing well a lot of the time. I still have high hopes though.

Joseph took over a roster of players that included many from Super Bowl 50. The Broncos now have a much different roster and there has been a bit of a loosing culture in Denver and turning that around is not easy.

Some of the loses were aided by questionable calls and some where mistakes, and others where poor coaching. The one thing that is different is the team stays together and is not fractured as we saw in the past. I think Vic gets a 3rd year unless the wheels really come off in the next 16 weeks. If he gets a 3rd year he will have to produce a winner or he will be looking for a different job.

Sounds like James Conner is good to go. This game will be tough for us. As long as Big Ben stays healthy this year on paper the Steelers looks very legit this year.

People can blame the clock management all they want. When Jeudy dropped the second pass (both very costly) the fate was sealed imo.

The announcers were ticking me off a bit too. Lock snapping the ball with 12 seconds....is no big Gigantic deal with a one point lead. If you are up two scores in the 4th, milking the clock makes sense.

Also, that missed pass on the goal line where Lock overthrew the wide open 3 yard pass.

Lock did well, and the defense was actually quite impressive. I thought the two dropped passes by Jeudy was the factor that cost the Broncos the game. The clock management not withstanding.

So, yeah. Funny. Grew up in South Florida. Actually lived in the hood for a while. Rubin Carter's nephew was a neighbor and friend of mine. If some don't know Rubin Carter was the Broncos NT on the old orange crush teams. That's how I became a Broncos fan.

My uncle lived in Vero Beach and I would go to his house every Spring and that was always where the Dodgers trained.

I think there were several players we could loom back as critical in our loss on Monday. Whenyou lose a tight game ever small misque could be the difference . We lost as a team. Nobody played terrible, imo but several key plays that could have gotten us over the hump. Missed catches, throws in the end zone and coaching blunders. They all add up.
