Not sure Falcons can beat the Raiders if Cousins can't figure out how to stop throwing to the other teamShould be a strong weekend of games - some huge ones - Bills/Lions, Steelers/Eagles, Packers/Seahawks, Bucs/Chargers, Colts/Broncos all huge.
My Falcons are pretty much in a must win situation against the Raiders - we cannot afford a loss to an awful team like them - the thing is is we’ve really only lost to good teams - our only loss to a weak team is against the Saints, the other losses have all been against teams with winning records who are in the thick of the playoff race. Hopefully we get back on track in Vegas this week, and then finish strong and manage to win the division. I hope the Chargers beat the Bucs, that will help us out.
The 1:00 games on Sunday kind of suck this week - really only Dolphins/Texans is an important one, the rest are just not strong matchups although you never know what will be an interesting game.
To me...Cousins will be known for whipping the system. Betting on himself and coming out of washington the huge winner...now twice.if Cousins can't figure out how to stop throwing to the other team
Yeah, a lot of comps out there between Dak and Kirk, it seems. Not sure about the competitive part. Maybe, I guess but it just seems they both lose it mentally at times to me even though they can absolutely be great sometimes. Constantly going to end up in the mediocre territory despite being paid elite money. To me...Cousins will be known for whipping the system. Everything about Cousins now screams...It all pays the same, So blessed, life is good, maybe next year is our year kinda thing.
again..my fear is Dallas has Cousins Act 2 in Prescott. THE real competitive juices that gets you here seem to fade when true life changing money comes with the territory.
We need to make the playoffs, we haven’t made them since 2017, and Cousins probably gives us a better chance to win the division than Penix at the moment, although I think Penix will be a much better QB overall, but he has no experience now. Even if we lose in the first round of the playoffs, it would still be a good accomplishment to make them and a big step in the right direction for us. So stick with Kirk for now. If we somehow shit the bed Monday in Vegas, then fuck it, start Penix the rest of the way.Frankly the Falcons should just start Penix at this point. It isn't worth sticking with the inconsistent Cousins to win a weak division at get bounced in the Wild Card round. Better to give Penix some experience right now.
Yes, good on Cousins getting his bag of money and Atlanta FO Should be fired for giving him another bag of money when the body of work is he isn't good enough to get you to a SB. They'll ride it out the rest of the season but next year best to start Penix. To me...Cousins will be known for whipping the system.
