looking at nfl.com, the Jags-Bills is listed as an ESPN game, with Washington-KC being on ABC.

The local CBS affiliate is carrying the Jags-Bills. The NFL has a rule that requires games to be shown on an OTA station in local markets.

The local ABC station here would probably prefer to show anything other than another NFL game.

It's Cincy vs Washington...semantics...I know...just semantics

I don't get it. The whole point of these primetime games is to have a stand alone match-up that everybody watches, is it not. Meh, whatever. It's probably a Disney thing or something. Both games will probably be over by halftime anyway.

Yep, but only one of them is worth even watching. I think it's safe to say very few people will tune into Titans/ Dolphins. Seahawks at Lions is the marquis match-up that even fans of those other teams will likely watch. Doesn't mean it will be a great game but has far more promise than the other one.

what next, two Thursday night games?
The next thing will be to spread the 17 game season over 19 weeks rather than 18. They can have football on both Wednesday and Thursday with teams getting a break of 10 or 11 days either side of those games. That will do away with the bye weeks for most teams as most teams will have 2 such games. More tv football, more money, and a better, safer midweek product without increasing the number of games.

I think the 18 game schedule will come before any of that, tbh.

We're only in week 4 of this season, and we're losing key players already. We already have more teams than NFL-quality quarterbacks in the whole country. Extending the NFL season just leads to more lousy teams and more lousy games.

I agree but the sad fact is it's coming no matter what we think.

You do not have a TV where you can have a split screen?

That's unfortunate.

I'm with him. They should be back to back, not competing broadcasts. Split screen is no way to watch football imo.
