Wonder if Mayfield might pull a Winston and sign a 1 year deal to back up Stafford knowing he is older and coming off an injury. And to rehab his image.

He's capable of doing that, and then he looks like crap for 5 games straight. Just inconsistent. Last night was a great story but until he does it consistently, I would be sceptical.

He played well vs the Bengals this season....last night was probably his best game of the season because of how they won.

He might be a better fit in the Rams offense than the Panthers.

True, McVay is an offensive coach, Rhule was a defensive one.

Did you think Cam Akers made that first down at the goal line? I thought he was short. Don't know why the Raiders didn't challenge unless they had used them up. I missed most of the game and only caught the last 5 minutes

Yeah, I agree. I also wasn't sure he got into the end zone on the next play. Either way it was a wild ending.

But the reason the Rams couldn’t run the ball against the Chiefs is because they stacked the box because they knew Perkins couldn’t throw.

It all correlates.

I agree the Perkins may have more talent than Wolford, but Wolford can actually move the offense.

That game against the Chiefs was unwatchable because of how bad Perkins was outside of his running. Also, if his first read isn’t there, he’s looking to run. He doesn’t go through his progressions.

And, as a QB, that is something he should’ve learned a long time ago. That’s not an excuse for being a “rookie”.

well its hard to go through your progressions when you barely have time to even look at your first guy?
I agree at this point he does tend to run, but at the same time McVey puts him in there because thats the plan to have him run??

And every team has stacked the box against the Rams??

The ceiling camera showed the ball was over the goal line before Akers was pushed back. Without that camera angle it probably wouldn't have been reviewed as a TD.

Yeah, if AZ wants to get competitive next season, they will need someone other than McCoy.

Mayfield would fit that offense, and with those WR’s, could have success.

Could net the Rams a nice comp pick if that happens.
