Well Corey and Botch - Luongo makes $10M this year and this fan base has waited 40 years for one piece of Silver. We are sorry if people think we are too hard on him and we are. I am. Im sure most on this board are that are Canucks fans. I think alot of people are way too critical on him for no real reason. But I was not pissed at all about that goal. I was scared that it would cost. It was a terrible give away. Luongo should have taken more ownership btu I dont care at this point. Dont do it again and win another game. that is all that matters this year. Winning.

fair enough. I agree as well. but he will be forever loved in BC. I was at the game and heard those cheers. it was disgusting at this time of the year and in such an important time of the game. we have some fucked up idiots that have never been here before and cant understand how important it is to let the team just play and not get on them (unless they really fraking stink then you need to let them know your displeased but still believe in them) I would love to see the canucks take this negativity towards Luongo and turn it into a RUN like no other and just tell everyone to go frak themselves.

I will say this though. Kirk McLean was criticized most of his time in Vancouver for his style and yet the '94 cup run made him a local hero.

His goals-against average this postseason is 2.23 and his save percentage is .918. These are remarkable numbers if you consider he got shelled in two of his 13 starts.
those are pretty sweet numbers. since coming back for Schneider, GAA (yes, it's a team number too) have
been 1, 0, 2(2OT), 2, 2, 2, 1, 3, 2.

Just my opinion, but I think fans are waiting for Bobby Lou to admit in a post-game interview where he hasn't played very well and the team has lost that he himself needs to be better. I hear a lot of "We" and "certain guys", but I rarely hear the "I need to be better" and "That was inexcusable".

Personally, I don't think we are likely to hear it because it's not his style and that's fine, but the flip side is that he leaves himself open to criticism from fans and media because they don't believe he's holding himself accountable.
