Local resident captures orcas at play in Burrard Inlet
Price has seen orcas aplenty when he used to work up the B.C. coast. But now he’s based at the Tymac facility at the foot of Main Street, dispatching water taxis and tugs — and the whale sightings are rare.
In fact he’s only seen orcas in Vancouver harbour once, “probably 15 years ago on a foggy day in November when they came up under the lights of the [Second Narrows Bridge],” he said.
He doesn’t know what the whales were doing in Vancouver, although the social media world was full of comments about the orcas visiting the city to support the Vancouver Canucks — the team whose logo famously uses a killer-whale graphic.
The whales started to move and Price followed them toward the Lions Gate Bridge. He said the pod followed the Stanley Park seawall between the bridge at First Narrows and the famous Siwash Rock.
“Then they started to breach, coming right out of the water.
"The Canuck" called them
lol... game 1, opening face-off. Thornton asked Kesler if he wanted to fight.
Kes just laughed at him. makes you wonder who is trying to get whom off of their game.
Kes "I'm not intimidated by anyone. I played against Weber and that beard last round"
Thorton asked if he challenged Kesler to a fight to start Gm 1: "Yeah" Asked why: "Why not?"
Thornton on challenging Kesler: "Let's start this series off with a bang."
classic playoff moment
Damn, that would have been GREAT!
Kesler knew he would get his ass kicked.

heh. you funny guy. that is a quick 2 hit. kesler hits joe joe hits the ice.
meh. Joe's a big dude.
i just think Kesler realizes he more valuable on the ice for 5 minutes.
If Joe's the one that wants to make that trade off to start the game.... it kinda tells me that he thinks so, too.
Keslers a hell of a player, but I don't think he's on Joe's level when Joe feels like playing. When Joe decides to play I think he is a top 5 player in this game, and hes decided to play so far these playoffs.
dont look now but after tonights game Luongo has the best GAA average amongst those still alive in the playoffs ... 3rd overall
Take out those two implosions vs the Hawks and he has been the best goalie in the playoffs(minus the crappy goals)
