The point is you don't even say something like that. It's November and he's talking about possibility of maybe wanting to be dealt to a contender. He's been here 20 years. Finish it off and when asked the question he should say why would I want to get traded I believe in this team and its November.

Hell I remember everyone bashing kovy when he said we were out of it 3 years ago with like 6 games left and 8 out.

Marty just makes this more of a distraction more of a topic as the season goes on.

Marty isn't going anywhere, he just acts like he's leaving because he likes the attention. I don't believe for 1 second that Martin Brodeur will play for another NHL franchise. No goalie in NHL history is so intertwined with 1 franchise. Marty is the Devils and the Devils are Marty. Let these rumors rest.

Not to make excuses but does anybody else think this schedule has been complete bullshit thus far? Road trip to the Pacific NW early on, we played a game last Tuesday then didn't play until a back to back Saturday/Sunday, off until tonight and then another game tomorrow? How the hell are they supposed to gain any momentum or any chemistry? I'm not saying it's the reason we've sucked so far but it certainly isn't helping matters much.

SJ, agreed on Cam. People hate on him. Not sure why, I always like Cam. He is a goon, but he has this good attitude and I love when he has those shifts where he delivers 2-3 big hits.

Chere is good but he did kind of set up Marty on that question.

Honestly, even if Marty said he is 50 percent ok with being traded to contender, I wouldn't hate.
He will always be a Devil regardless.
