Christ, this game can't come soon enough.
People have tried to tell him, but our friend, Wiz, doesn't plain old doesn't get it. It's not like he's stupid, Lord, he could write a Russian novel with all his verbiage. He just doesn't understand how Boise, as a team committed to moving up, not just getting a paycheck, views the college football scene.
It isn't about teams being afraid to come to Boise, never has been, but frankly, if you left it up to the money grubbing AD's, and the cowardly coaches (who'd rather play all their OOC games against FCS teams), not one of them would ever come to the Blue. It's about the business that football has become. And it is not good for the sport.
I don't think that our friend Wiz has even the slightest idea of what Boise has been able to do. Not many former junior colleges are now inhabitants of the top 25, year after year. Not many small market teams get so much national attention as the Broncos do. Indeed, we Boise fans seem to attract a passionate bunch of detractors.
Wiz, it isn't about whether or not UW backed out of a commitment to play in Boise, in the past or in the future. It's about how most big schools look at the Boise's of the world. It's about a system in which money and status both trump talent. We tire of being viewed as that "cute little team" that seems to constantly overachieve. That was fine in 2006, but Boise has been on the scene with teams that win, year after year. What Boise wants is a seat at the table. No offense, but they've earned it. We are tired of being forced to open every year on the road to some major school, even though the trips are a lot of fun. It's time to have the favors returned.
I know, I know, most schools don't want to come to Boise, not enough money, and a damn good chance that they'd lose. But go ahead, wrap yourself in your Husky gear, I seriously doubt that you can even get the overriding point.
Here's to a good game in Seattle. We may not win, but you'll get all that the team, and the fans, have.
Peace.
And now Wiz uses my supposed language and falsely perceived attitude as an excuse to rip Boise and some other poster, and then claims he didn't do it?
Like I said, no sense even trying to discuss things with him. I wrote a specific response to each of his points, and it fell of deaf ears. Look, I get where you are coming from, Wiz. But you aren't even close to understanding my points. All you read is your preconceived notions. Nah, you don't want to discuss, you want to read your own posts, over and over again, no doubt.
Fair enough, but no matter how many paragraphs you write,
You're still wrong.
Peace.
Christ, this game can't come soon enough.
The truth is Wiz, that Oregon, Oregon State and Washington State have all sacked up and made trips into Boise. Washington is the only PAC team from the Pacific Northwest that has not played Boise in Boise.
Wiz, now what the hell are you gonna do if Washington actually loses this game? Will you be here to take your take your beatin like a man? And you will be in for a hell of a beatin Wiz -- you know that, right. Maybe you'll make excuses for the loss?
Not saying this inaccurate but when have the Cougs played in Boise?
Got this email from the Alumni Association. If interested, Friday is the cut-off date.

First of all, I like SmilesID and he can defend himself just fine, maybe I jumped into your discussion with him out of turn..... for that I apologize, as for the rest.....I wonder tox, will you get as irate over Smiles use of language and verbiage toward non BSU fans? The terse language used was directed at him because we have said these things to him at least 100 times and that's not an exaggeration. I did not cuss at you.
It does not matter what my thoughts on Idaho are. Isn't relevant to the conversation. The question was what will traveling fans from other teams think of BSU vs any top AQ in terms of a destination they would want to go visit.
Now, you weren't happy with my use of language toward Smiles nor what you consider my views of your state, but then make plenty of assumptions about me and go way beyond defensive. You could have just as easily asked for what I meant and waited for me to say something to you before going there. Your last two posts to me appear to suggest you are just another overly paranoid and defensive mid-major fan with a huge chip on your shoulders. I won't actually say that is a fact as I don't have enough details to know you well enough, but that's the impression I get. Unlike your characterizations, I will give you the chance to respond before making a blanket assumption.
I don't understand why it seems most BSU fans get upset when an opposing fan dares to believe their team can beat yours. It really does confuse me to no end. Most fans believe in their teams whether there are justifiable reasons for it or not. I have been on record countless times as saying Boise State is a very dangerous team that is well coached and yet you characterize my views as saying your team is garbage. Real head scratcher. I have also said many times I wouldn't like UW's chances at smurf turf and would probably take UW by 1 on a neutral site. That's hardly saying bad things about your team. It is the circumstances of this particular game that leave me feeling so positive. That and the serious upgrades of the team over this off season. Who wouldn't like their team with those changes going into a brand new field that is sold out?
Good luck to you and your team. If you are coming for the game I hope you enjoy the new facility and that you aren't harassed by any of our fans. If not, then enjoy the broadcast of what will be one of the more interesting games of the day for the opening weekend.
You guys came to the Blue and kicked our asses by three TDs in 2001 with Jason Gesser at the helm. That was a damn good team. As you know you all had a bunch of great teams in the late 90s to early 2000s.
Translation: A guy I know forwarded this to me, probably as a joke. There will be plenty of BSU fans there. Bo will be at the Balcony that night with his Vandal butt buddies. He wishes the Aviators a great night, but will be tied up all night (literally) spanking Vandal monkies.
My bad, I remember the curb stomping in 97, and I believe we played again but thought it was in Pullman. I know we have a home and home signed with you guys.

So you consider 58 to 0 a curb stomping? Oh, we'll yes then. So do I..
No, I consider it a tight game. If memory serves me right, Mike Price stuck in the backups late in the 3rd quarter. That same backup group that won I believe 2 or 3 games the next season. But I didn't realize they went to Boise with Gesser and co in 01.
There is so much wrong with you quoting a vagina slime adWell like Virginia Slims, Boise has come a long way baby!
