All of that may be great fun, but can't see many doing that on football game road trip. What do you think fans did who went to the LSU game last year? Most were probably heavily hung over for the game itself given the night life on bourbon street. Is there night life in Boise? I know it is a big consideration for UW's scheduling. They talk about setting up games of interest to the fans all the time. BSU makes sense for travel purposes and it is a short travel for UW fans, but how many of the teams that Smiles and his ilk accuse of being scared from the deep south or east costs find value in traveling that far to a destination that doesn't have the same kind of attraction for its fans? You can't get Smiles or his possy to answer those questions. It would make their entire body of work look stupid.
You asked for five things a tourist could do anywhere in the state sir! you did not say anything about "during a football road trip" but amazingly enough, any of the things I proposed could be done over a 3-4 day weekend if planned correctly during the CFB season, the skiing may be a challenge if mother nature didn't cooperate..... but I am sure there is something you will find wrong with that, so stay home and don't visit Idaho wiz!
You seem to change criteria as you see fit so your challenges to respond becomes impossible, when someone provides you with a viable and reasonable answer and then you respond with venom and comparisons to which cannot even begin to compare to the venue that is the state of Idaho. Louisiana is apples and oranges compared to Idaho so you grasp for straws to continue your argument sir
Go ahead and thumb your nose Boise State it's fans and the entire state of Idaho.
IMHO You are not a true fan as you claim just a snob with an elitist attitude on a computer.. too bad,
Nothing we Bronco's haven't seen before and we will see again down the road I'm sure!

No need to waste anymore time with your:lame: childish games.

People have tried to tell him, but our friend, Wiz, doesn't plain old doesn't get it. It's not like he's stupid, Lord, he could write a Russian novel with all his verbiage. He just doesn't understand how Boise, as a team committed to moving up, not just getting a paycheck, views the college football scene.

It isn't about teams being afraid to come to Boise, never has been, but frankly, if you left it up to the money grubbing AD's, and the cowardly coaches (who'd rather play all their OOC games against FCS teams), not one of them would ever come to the Blue. It's about the business that football has become. And it is not good for the sport.

I don't think that our friend Wiz has even the slightest idea of what Boise has been able to do. Not many former junior colleges are now inhabitants of the top 25, year after year. Not many small market teams get so much national attention as the Broncos do. Indeed, we Boise fans seem to attract a passionate bunch of detractors.

Wiz, it isn't about whether or not UW backed out of a commitment to play in Boise, in the past or in the future. It's about how most big schools look at the Boise's of the world. It's about a system in which money and status both trump talent. We tire of being viewed as that "cute little team" that seems to constantly overachieve. That was fine in 2006, but Boise has been on the scene with teams that win, year after year. What Boise wants is a seat at the table. No offense, but they've earned it. We are tired of being forced to open every year on the road to some major school, even though the trips are a lot of fun. It's time to have the favors returned.

I know, I know, most schools don't want to come to Boise, not enough money, and a damn good chance that they'd lose. But go ahead, wrap yourself in your Husky gear, I seriously doubt that you can even get the overriding point.

Here's to a good game in Seattle. We may not win, but you'll get all that the team, and the fans, have.

Peace.

Well said, Smiles. I appreciate your posts. :suds:

What the hell are you going on about? I specifically brought up the lack of activities in Idaho to address why AD's may not be so hot on making home and home's. I'm not changing anything. Go read why I asked the question and then tell me I said anything differently after. I'm sure there are great things to do in your neck of the woods, however can you tell me why fans in other parts of the country would find enough interest in what is a long trip there for more than just the game? That was the question and always was the question. Relax man.

I never snubbed anything. What isn't new is a BSU fan being so sensitive that they project their preconceived notions on to anyone they see fit. How is it being a snob asking what AD's in other parts of the country think when looking at BSU vs other top quality teams to create home and home deals with? That isn't a valid question? That says a lot more about you and your ilk than it does the snobbery you complain of.

In short, Boise may be a great place to live and maybe go to school. I don't know, but the perception of traveling fans matters and the question was what are they to think? If that question offends you then maybe boards like this aren't your cup of tea.

Bad news for the Broncos.

It's not going to just be the Sankey show this time. Announced today. RBs Jesse Callier and Deontae Cooper will be playing in the BSU game and at 100%.

And ASJ has been practicing without wearing a no contact jersey. Like it or not he is probably playing.

Yes. After crashing into a ditch and going through his windshield at over the double the legal limit as someone who is underage, he will be playing. And he refused a breathalyzer at the scene (smart move) so they had to take him to the hospital to draw his blood and after all that time had passed, he was so fucked up he was still over double the legal limit.

Good to hear he is healthy and will be playing in week one. Absolutely unbelievable, but still good to hear.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Nebraska beat MSU last year. Can't say the same for Boise.

Also, SAN DIEGO STATE. And you wanna talk about pussies.

Yes. And as I told you it was one of the worst seasons that Boise has had in the last 11 years of which they have 9 top 15 finishes in that timeframe to go with SEVERAL top 10 and top 5 finishes and two Fiesta Bowl trophies.

I had a peek at what mighty Nebraska has done in that span as well and the results are EMBARRASSING. How about ONE top 15 finish. One to Boise's nine. And barely too. That was in 2009 when they finished 14th, ten spots behind Boise that season by the way. ONE season in which they lost less than 4 games (a 3 loss season ten years ago). ZERO conference titles and for all of those seasons but two of them they were "competing" in the shithouse Big 12 North. My oh my. How pitiful.

And if you want to throw 2012's results in our faces, go right ahead. But make sure you consider you're own house first. As bad as Boise was, again they still finished ranked much higher than Nebraska. They also don't have a crybaby QB who throws like a girl. They didn't give up 63 to Ohio State and they certainly didn't get curb stomped in giving up 70 fucking points to 6 loss Wisconsin. Talk about getting your shit pushed in. Ladies and gentlemen the mighty and proud Nebraska "Blackshirt" defense. Wow. What a fucking joke.

I thought we established this many pages back that Bronco fans have 0 moral highground to preach to any team about player conduct considering the longest yard teams Peterson fields and your schools refusal to perform background checks on recruits. But if you want to continue to use ASJ as a potential excuse for losing on Aug 31st at Montlake, go right ahead and continue :bawling: .

Not making excuses. Again, glad he's playing. I want Washington at full strength, but the fact that he is is bullshit.

Good Lord I can't wait for this game to be played. In terms of the BSU gameplan, "option out of the pistol". Call me quack (no offense to those inn Eugene), a knucklehead just guessing, a douche nozzle, or a guy with some insight. Regardless, the Huskies will be outcoached.

We agree. Both teams should field their best players. This way what ever the outcome, this leaves no room for phoney-baloney excuses from the fans.

Let's review just the paragraph I responded to, and yes I read your whole post, and I though I know what your point was you played with the wording to take shots and make it seem like we are a bunch of hicks living in a shithole of a state which absolutely is not the case.....

"The reason teams aren't lined up to go there is about the money."
Funny, home team keeps thier gate solves the money issue and I thought you said it was because there was nothing to do in Boise.

"As we have told you for years and years. Not just the lack of tickets because of your small venue and non existent TV market"

Any AQ of "relevance" coming to Boise to play on the Blue would most certainly garner National coverage, and we would gladly allot the same amount of tickets as was allotted for us, the rest would be fair game on the open market like every other game. How many tickets did UW give us again.... VT.... UGA...? Not many and Bronco Nation travels pretty well too!

,"but also the expected drop in interest for traveling there by their own fans because it's (fucking boise)".

What the hell do you know about Boise and it's night life unless you take the time to visit? Do a little research before taking any trip and open your mind Brotha!
BTW ..Your use of profanity here and failure to capitalize the following proper name ("boise"), whether intended or not, shows your attempt at disrespect and hatred for an entire city that you obviously have never spent any time in.

"Tell me 5 things for a tourist to do anywhere in that state?"

I'm sorry , but you didn't specify, You said the "entire state". By no means is it anything like Texas but Idaho is much bigger than just Boise and a tourist would have to schedule extra time to do/see any attraction any "entire state" offers while attending a football game.... Maybe you should have asked us to name 5 things to do just within Boise while attending a game. BTW There are lots of things to do in Boise But maybe you should take a trip and learn about them yourself!

"AD's need to schedule destinations that fans actually want to go see as well as teams worth playing on the field."
LOL I concur, AD's do have a lot to consider and this may be one of them but grown adults do not need an AD to babysit them. If you cannot find something fun to do in the Boise area, you should probably just have your mommy arrange your trip then.

"In short, Boise may be a great place to live and maybe go to school. I don't know, but the perception of traveling fans matters and the question was what are they to think? If that question offends you then maybe boards like this aren't your cup of tea"

Three words in this paragraph stand out ! "I don't know" Your absolutely correct sir, you do not know! So when you spout off about what you think you know about Boise and Idaho, maybe you should use a little discretion and shut your pie hole or you just might offend someone...... unless of course that is your intent, in that case, imo you are just a troll and not worth my time. I have been on several of the boards for several years now so don't worry about what is and is not my cup of tea I think I can handle myself just fine.
I do not need to use profanity and back handed cryptic insults and belittle someone, someones team, or where they hail from to get my point across. I have tried to be objective, fair and considerate with you but it seems like you just don't want believe there is a great big world full of possibilities outside of your protected little elite AQ world......go ahead and think there's no way a Boise State could ever beat your Huskies and Idaho must suck because Boise is there.
I am here to tell you it most certainly does not suck and we do know how to play some football and contrary to popular belief some of us have actually traveled outside of the state of Idaho!
Good luck to your Dawgs man! ..... if Sark thinks like you do, your gonna need all the luck you can get!
Good day to you!

I wonder tox, will you get as irate over Smiles use of language and verbiage toward non BSU fans? The terse language used was directed at him because we have said these things to him at least 100 times and that's not an exaggeration. I did not cuss at you.

It does not matter what my thoughts on Idaho are. Isn't relevant to the conversation. The question was what will traveling fans from other teams think of BSU vs any top AQ in terms of a destination they would want to go visit.

Now, you weren't happy with my use of language toward Smiles nor what you consider my views of your state, but then make plenty of assumptions about me and go way beyond defensive. You could have just as easily asked for what I meant and waited for me to say something to you before going there. Your last two posts to me appear to suggest you are just another overly paranoid and defensive mid-major fan with a huge chip on your shoulders. I won't actually say that is a fact as I don't have enough details to know you well enough, but that's the impression I get. Unlike your characterizations, I will give you the chance to respond before making a blanket assumption.

I don't understand why it seems most BSU fans get upset when an opposing fan dares to believe their team can beat yours. It really does confuse me to no end. Most fans believe in their teams whether there are justifiable reasons for it or not. I have been on record countless times as saying Boise State is a very dangerous team that is well coached and yet you characterize my views as saying your team is garbage. Real head scratcher. I have also said many times I wouldn't like UW's chances at smurf turf and would probably take UW by 1 on a neutral site. That's hardly saying bad things about your team. It is the circumstances of this particular game that leave me feeling so positive. That and the serious upgrades of the team over this off season. Who wouldn't like their team with those changes going into a brand new field that is sold out?

Good luck to you and your team. If you are coming for the game I hope you enjoy the new facility and that you aren't harassed by any of our fans. If not, then enjoy the broadcast of what will be one of the more interesting games of the day for the opening weekend.

And now Wiz uses my supposed language and falsely perceived attitude as an excuse to rip Boise and some other poster, and then claims he didn't do it?

Like I said, no sense even trying to discuss things with him. I wrote a specific response to each of his points, and it fell of deaf ears. Look, I get where you are coming from, Wiz. But you aren't even close to understanding my points. All you read is your preconceived notions. Nah, you don't want to discuss, you want to read your own posts, over and over again, no doubt.

Fair enough, but no matter how many paragraphs you write,

You're still wrong.

Peace.
