You asked for five things a tourist could do anywhere in the state sir! you did not say anything about "during a football road trip" but amazingly enough, any of the things I proposed could be done over a 3-4 day weekend if planned correctly during the CFB season, the skiing may be a challenge if mother nature didn't cooperate..... but I am sure there is something you will find wrong with that, so stay home and don't visit Idaho wiz!All of that may be great fun, but can't see many doing that on football game road trip. What do you think fans did who went to the LSU game last year? Most were probably heavily hung over for the game itself given the night life on bourbon street. Is there night life in Boise? I know it is a big consideration for UW's scheduling. They talk about setting up games of interest to the fans all the time. BSU makes sense for travel purposes and it is a short travel for UW fans, but how many of the teams that Smiles and his ilk accuse of being scared from the deep south or east costs find value in traveling that far to a destination that doesn't have the same kind of attraction for its fans? You can't get Smiles or his possy to answer those questions. It would make their entire body of work look stupid.
People have tried to tell him, but our friend, Wiz, doesn't plain old doesn't get it. It's not like he's stupid, Lord, he could write a Russian novel with all his verbiage. He just doesn't understand how Boise, as a team committed to moving up, not just getting a paycheck, views the college football scene.
It isn't about teams being afraid to come to Boise, never has been, but frankly, if you left it up to the money grubbing AD's, and the cowardly coaches (who'd rather play all their OOC games against FCS teams), not one of them would ever come to the Blue. It's about the business that football has become. And it is not good for the sport.
I don't think that our friend Wiz has even the slightest idea of what Boise has been able to do. Not many former junior colleges are now inhabitants of the top 25, year after year. Not many small market teams get so much national attention as the Broncos do. Indeed, we Boise fans seem to attract a passionate bunch of detractors.
Wiz, it isn't about whether or not UW backed out of a commitment to play in Boise, in the past or in the future. It's about how most big schools look at the Boise's of the world. It's about a system in which money and status both trump talent. We tire of being viewed as that "cute little team" that seems to constantly overachieve. That was fine in 2006, but Boise has been on the scene with teams that win, year after year. What Boise wants is a seat at the table. No offense, but they've earned it. We are tired of being forced to open every year on the road to some major school, even though the trips are a lot of fun. It's time to have the favors returned.
I know, I know, most schools don't want to come to Boise, not enough money, and a damn good chance that they'd lose. But go ahead, wrap yourself in your Husky gear, I seriously doubt that you can even get the overriding point.
Here's to a good game in Seattle. We may not win, but you'll get all that the team, and the fans, have.
Peace.
What the hell are you going on about? I specifically brought up the lack of activities in Idaho to address why AD's may not be so hot on making home and home's. I'm not changing anything. Go read why I asked the question and then tell me I said anything differently after. I'm sure there are great things to do in your neck of the woods, however can you tell me why fans in other parts of the country would find enough interest in what is a long trip there for more than just the game? That was the question and always was the question. Relax man.You asked for five things a tourist could do anywhere in the state sir! you did not say anything about "during a football road trip" but amazingly enough, any of the things I proposed could be done over a 3-4 day weekend if planned correctly during the CFB season, the skiing may be a challenge if mother nature didn't cooperate..... but I am sure there is something you will find wrong with that, so stay home and don't visit Idaho wiz!
You seem to change criteria as you see fit so your challenges to respond becomes impossible, when someone provides you with a viable and reasonable answer and then you respond with venom and comparisons to which cannot even begin to compare to the venue that is the state of Idaho. Louisiana is apples and oranges compared to Idaho so you grasp for straws to continue your argument sir
Go ahead and thumb your nose Boise State it's fans and the entire state of Idaho.
IMHO You are not a true fan as you claim just a snob with an elitist attitude on a computer.. too bad,
Nothing we Bronco's haven't seen before and we will see again down the road I'm sure!
No need to waste anymore time with yourchildish games.

I never snubbed anything. What isn't new is a BSU fan being so sensitive that they project their preconceived notions on to anyone they see fit. How is it being a snob asking what AD's in other parts of the country think when looking at BSU vs other top quality teams to create home and home deals with? That isn't a valid question? That says a lot more about you and your ilk than it does the snobbery you complain of.
In short, Boise may be a great place to live and maybe go to school. I don't know, but the perception of traveling fans matters and the question was what are they to think? If that question offends you then maybe boards like this aren't your cup of tea.
Bad news for the Broncos.
It's not going to just be the Sankey show this time. Announced today. RBs Jesse Callier and Deontae Cooper will be playing in the BSU game and at 100%.
And ASJ has been practicing without wearing a no contact jersey. Like it or not he is probably playing.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Nebraska beat MSU last year. Can't say the same for Boise.
Also, SAN DIEGO STATE. And you wanna talk about pussies.
Yes. After crashing into a ditch and going through his windshield at over the double the legal limit as someone who is underage, he will be playing. And he refused a breathalyzer at the scene (smart move) so they had to take him to the hospital to draw his blood and after all that time had passed, he was so fucked up he was still over double the legal limit.
Good to hear he is healthy and will be playing in week one. Absolutely unbelievable, but still good to hear.
I thought we established this many pages back that Bronco fans have 0 moral highground to preach to any team about player conduct considering the longest yard teams Peterson fields and your schools refusal to perform background checks on recruits. But if you want to continue to use ASJ as a potential excuse for losing on Aug 31st at Montlake, go right ahead and continue.
Not making excuses. Again, glad he's playing. I want Washington at full strength, but the fact that he is is bullshit.

Soonershel is that you ???? LOL!We agree. Both teams should field their best players. This way what ever the outcome, this leaves no room for phoney-baloney excuses from the fans.
