i have a co worker who lives there (this is a town of maybe acouple hundred)

they showed up, someone fed them and they cannot get them out now... i am going to try to get permission to hunt out there come april.
but the problem is you cannot hunt within a mile of the township, or so im told.
but that the town might have a vote of some type, because the turkeys are that big of an issue..

I dodge wild turkeys nearly every morning going to work on 72nd street north of 680. A guy with a house there feeds them. Every now and then I see where someone's hit one with a car. They've done well in Nebraska since introduction.

Did you know turkeys roost up in trees at night?

Yeah, you take the .17 HMR and pick them out early in the morning....usually good for 3-4 turks.

i work just north of 680 on 72nd
never seen any turkeys

First house on the "east" side of 72nd St once you pass Lake Cunningham Rd heading north. Not the dog kennels, the house past that. He's got big bird feeders in the front and back yard.

I thought you worked in health care. Where is there health care north of I-680 on 72nd St?

I have an acreage near 132nd and Maple. I get 4-5 turkeys in my back yard on occasion hanging around my birdfeeder. I think they come from Standing Bear Lake or Eagle run golf course.

Yep, one of very few left in that area. The house was built in 1927, I bought it in 94. It has some commercial value to it however, I like my space.

im newerish to omaha and i dont really have any where to hunt, so i've been looking for a house in the country with some land, or asking my co workers who hunt, but they all drive way out west... (nasty tasting deer out there)

1 of my coworkers family owns like half of the town of louisville but they dont let anyone hunt their land, i really thought they would have let me, but what can you do?

fiance's dad is looking to buy land too, so i might get lucky and he'll buy some

Turkeys aka Flying skunks. I use to hunt them in Nebraska untill I move to SD and the Game and fish want $91.00 for one stinking flying skunk. I have to say I can take my Cooper .204 Ruger out here in SD and kill a few flying skunks I love to shoot em in the back! Yes, a rifle in SD is legal to hunt flying skunks.
