Series notes
All-time: Capitals lead series 94-82-6
Season: Rangers lead series 2-1
Last meeting: 12/27/2013 @ Verizon Center, Rangers won 3-2
Doob's take: 2 teams going in different directions. Not too long ago, Capitals looked like they had a firm grip on 2nd place in the Metropolitan Division. Now they find themselves in 5th place and on the outside of the playoff picture. Rangers looked hopeless and inconsistent, now they're clicking on all cylinders and find themselves in 3rd place of the Metro Div. Way these teams are playing I'm compelled to pick the Rangers to win this 4-2.
