Hindsight 20/20 knowing some things now that I didnt know then.
I really think Hue had a thing against Baker. Trying to keep him down.
the 1st time I watched it, just figured he was making a rookie earn everything.
After watching several episodes of hard Knocks. I really think Hue was mad that he was overruled on getting Carson Wentz when the Browns traded for all those picks & ended up with baker.
No matter what Hue was glorifying what Tyrod was doing even when that was nothing & flat out wasnt gonna consider putting in the best guy. hell even after Tyrod got hurt in a freakin' preseason game. He still put him back in, keeping Mayfield out of the game. Just a lot of little things after knowing some things now, that makes more sense to me. Then if this was a real thing, would also make more sense why after hue got fired & moved to the Bengals why Mayfield was such a dick towards him. If Hue did let his frustration from the front office decision dictate what decisions he made on the field. He doubly deserved to get fired.
