Warriors planned Game 5 walkout if Clippers? Donald Sterling wasn?t*banned | The Point Forward - SI.com

“It would have been our only chance to make a statement in front of the biggest audience that we weren’t going to accept anything but the maximum punishment,” [Stephen] Curry said. “We would deal with the consequences later but we were not going to play.”

I'm disappointed that our club is focused on things outside of their control, there is a lack of leadership at the top and it's showing in this series. Had the Clippers wanted to walkout let them and take the forfeit win. I feel like the team is getting more and more dysfunctional under Jackson who is upset what Sterling's comments but sees nothing wrong with his words about Jason Collins.

I believe that this type of threat from the players is what caused Silver's ill-advised rash decision for a lifetime ban. His disengenous rant about racism rang false when it was clear that it was pressure from black groups that caused him to make this politically and financiall expediant decision. Hope it doesn't come back to bite the NBA in the butt.

Everyone in the NBA was upset about Streling's comments and there was no way the Warriors were going to let the Clippers boycott the game alone. The players have too much respect for each other to not stay united and taking a win like that would be a bitch move.

I'm glad we pissed ourselves in friendship for this assholes so they could come and try to fight with us after game seven, at least the team had Sunday off listen to Jackson preach.

I hope this is the end of Jackson and if any of the players prefer the preacher to winning they can go too.
