Not entirely true. I believe they got familiar with each other with a very warm wave as they passed in the airport.

So what is your response to O'Brien?

In all honesty I would like to have seen a younger coach more in tune with today's NFL. Someone willing to think outside the box and create a more dynamic and explosive offense. That being said our QB situation is not geared towards that and it would require a drafting a more mobile and athletic QB. What O'Brien brings is the ability to work with a pocket passer, he needs to get Mac comfortable with stepping up into the pocket. My concern is the entire team no progressing into today's NFL. The day's of the pure pocket passer seem to be coming to an end.

This being said there is a QB on intrerest to me we can take in round three or four. Hendon Hooker Tenn. Good passer, very mobile, can develope over a year or two and move us toward the future of the position.

Oh and Brady before that.

The only real dual threat was Mahomes in 2020.

I agree the league is moving that way but quality pocket passers still hold the edge and risk less injuries.


As for OB he's just coming out of two years in college football. At Alabama which is a favorite picking spot of BBs. OB is 53. I'd say he's still in touch with the kids. No he's not a Sean McVay nor is he the HC. How much lattitude do you think BB would give a 37 y/o coordinator?

It is a good thing. When a new OC walks in the door, having a QB take the time to give insight on the program is a very big help.
