In those type situations, the late, great Chick Hearn used to say that it's amazing how hard it can be to miss a free throw when you are trying to miss. Lots of guys have ended up making the free throw, shooting an airball or doing what Wade did.

I remember a game years back when Shaq had to miss a free throw. You'd think that would be easy for him as bad as he was.

I agree. I always aim to swish a free-throw. So when I try to miss it I end up banking it in, because I'm not educated well enough in this area.

Yes, they do.... but it's a whole different ballgame trying to beat them 4 times in a 7 Game series in the playoffs.
